  1. ^If we're going to nerd out about it, it's not actually a Type I or Type II (nor is it fresh), it's based on the Triple Pleat blouse that Mike and Charla Harris discovered in a mine a few years back, that was then reproduced by Levis as the "1870s Triple Pleat", so if you're after an indigo verison that's what you'd want to look for.

  2. I was under the impression that they were wear indicators.  If you look at the position of the white dots on the heels, they're on the outside edge, where it tends to wear the fastest.  I'm guessing the idea was that when the white dots are gone, you need new heels.

  3. Kawatako Brass Key Hook

Leather key holder is made by an old leather worker from Helsingborg Sweden. He have been in the trade for 40 years or so. He is around 60-65 years old.

I told him that he should put his stuff online. But he does not feel like it sadly. He is to close to retirement.

    Anyway.

Here is the name of the store.

    And the location.

    Bazaar Shangri-La

I'm imagining the leatherworking equivalent of this guy:

    Really excellent work.

  4. I'm gonna guess that the puzzle is a picture of a polar bear blinking in a blizzard, Ã  la Calvin and Hobbes:

And someone out there has one puzzle piece with a nose on it.

  5. It would be great if you could figure something out. I've resorted to using a LeatherworksMN one for the time being, but I really like the compactness of yours!

Hi, Nicholas, if I do experiment I will let you know how it goes! however ,like I said, it may not even be a problem for me!

Finally experimenting with some stronger springs here and having great success, if either of you (or anyone else who has one of these clips) would like to send it back to get supercharged, send me a PM.  Once I secure a larger quantity of these springs I'll just swap out all of them before shipping.  Big improvement.

  6. Foxy, those are amazing.  Do you know if they made any other jeans with the denim from the Okinawa Rainbow jeans?

(with rainbow dye on the warp, rather than weft)

I want them to make a jacket or shirt from that denim sooooo bad.

  7. It's a clever video, but dude needs to learn some humility.

Saddleback makes workhorse products that are just fine, but are by no means craft or luxury items.  They should be proud of the place that they occupy in the market (which is: good for the price, and durable), because it's an important one.

But he's flattering himself if he thinks that Saddleback is the standard of quality to which real makers are aspiring.  It's still just scarred Mexican TR hides.  There are as many steps above in quality as there are below, but he doesn't take the time to point those out.

If you want real quality, look at Frank Clegg or JW Hulme.
