Natural Chromexcel Lofgren

Aho, those are fucking beautiful. Nicely done.

Eddie, you realize that CXL stands for Chromexcel, right?

Nick's boots should absolutely be on that list.

I might be those things, but I'm also right.

Credit to Larry Niehues, who remarks about his work:
"Feel free to share and like the images as long as you credit me with the following ©Larry Niehues Thanks! Contact me for LIFESTYLE photoshoots or collaboration at [email protected]"

This one (of the unquestionably iconic Marvin Gaye) was taken by Jim Britt in 1973.

One of my favorite photographers is Russell Lee, who worked for the FSA and took thousands of photos in the 30s and 40s.
A former slave in 1939, in Texas, holding a horn that was used to call slaves:
A farmer in Arkansas, 1938:
Tenant farmer and his mother in Iowa, 1936:
And my favorite, a man at a burger stand in Alpine, Texas, 1939:

What are you even talking about? Someone (other than you) created all of these photos. It's polite to mention who created them when you re-post them. Politeness doesn't seem to be your strong suit...

Giving credit to content creators is not anal retentive, it's common courtesy, and it isn't hard to do.

You should try to give photographer credit, especially with modern photos, otherwise this just turns into your tumblr.

I was content to wait out the derailment quietly until you leveled that pretentious comment at Devilish for trying to get the thread back on track.
By all means, discuss:

I'll probably even read it, but this thread is for pictures of footwear.

^^^^ Graduate of George Bush's America spotted.
Oh come on...the fact some of us find the argument tedious is not evidence of your intellectual superiority over the rest of us with our dull, unexamined lives.
99% of the shit on these forums isn't simulacra vs. authenticity, it's simulacra you like vs. simulacra you dislike.
Educate yourself before making purchases, support the people that you feel should keep doing what they're doing. That's all there is to it. If someone can't disagree with your taste in boots, you're an asshole.

Aho's build is probably a fairly common one, it's possible they had uppers prepared already or some such.

Seeking MF 189MD aka Liberty CPO in large.
Fully aware of how rare and coveted they are.
Offering cash, leather goods, or gear in trade. I have some other older MF pieces.

Will you be getting the newest Mensfile/Clutch combo mag?

Great project! There is a serious market gap for womens denim jackets. If you can make something that's not ultra-feminized, crazy cropped, or washed into oblivion you can make some money. Get your pattern graded and find someone to produce!

Tthe pocket layout is one of those things that's so fucking brilliant with these jeans…when you get used to wearing them and using them everyday, it becomes almost impossible to imagine not having that set up on your pants
Agreed completely, it's hard to adapt to a normal 5 pocket after wearing the 7161md. When I wear something else I always catch myself reaching down for the side pockets for my phone.

Great stuff tmadd. I just realized I never posted my 7161md after their last wash. Just babies compared to the ones on the last page, but they're coming along.

Pretty sure HP doesn't actually have them in stock, I emailed them and never heard a response, ended up getting my pair from Pants Shop Avenue, which is now down to 29, 30, 31:

~$200 shipped is a ridiculous fucking steal for how awesome these jeans are by the way. They are something special.

Mexcel is a thing, it's a cheaper chrome retanned leather that's popped up to compete with chromexcel (a natural step since cxl is so expensive and Horween is so...challenging...to deal with). Nick's is using it but not White's as far as I know. I think the term was coined by Nick's so other makers using the same leather would likely call it something else.
I haven't handled it yet though, so can't speak to quality or differences.

It's okay Ed, not everyone can afford nice things.
