More Samurai 710xx. I guess this is a popular jean, and for good reason. 10 months, one hand wash, another wash coming soon.

already have a pair of Flat Head 4001's, love the fit, however i need some indigo in my life...
FH 1001's, 3001's or some samurais?
I'd say Samurai. Their denim is so slubby and has so much character. Of course, I've never worn Flathead, only seen and felt it.
BTW, if Sams, what model are you considering?

That's about how I sized mine, VSWIM. They'll stretch, but be prepared for a pretty slim fit and crotch blowout at around 8 or 9 months.

warehouse, denim is better on the warehouses
I think you're probably right, but anyone care to disagree?

Here's a tuff one (for me at least):
LVC 55's or Warehouse 800 one wash?

Nice smooth vintage fades.

I have a pair of 33's from Lot 12. They measure 34 in the waist after an initial hot wash and hot dry. They have about 2 weeks of wear, very minimal fading.
asking $200

Those 55's look amazing, Paul. These are definitely my next pair.

Where'd you hear that? Everything I've seen from recent LVC indicates an improvement, not only on LVCs behalf but also from Cone's recent developments.
Anyways, setterman has a new pair of 55s maybe he can chime in. The 1955 has always been hailed by experts around here for it's accuracy in fit and denim. I doubt that has changed (except the new models are apparently oversized).
thanks erk, good to hear. i probably just read some comments out of context. someone a few pages back was disappointed: something about new management. i don't know.

I'm considering buying my first pair of LVC, maybe 55's. Can anyone comment on the quality of the 2010 1955 denim? I've heard maybe LVC quality is suffering lately(?)

Love the button fades on this page.

Just wanted to express my love of the 710s 19oz denim. Such a rough, beautiful, complex texture. They are at the point where single threads are popping up from the weave and turning bright blue. gah. . . pics soon

I would just soak twice to get the shrinkage out. I had a similar problem washing some indigo 710s for the first time (not nearly this bad, but some unwanted streaking and fading in odd spots). Best play it safe with your prized jawns. Wear them as hard as you want, but wash with care.

Love the look of the Work Trouser, however the rise is mighty treacherous for a guy as tall as I am (and with hands as large as mine). They call 9.5 rise on a pair of 34s mid rise! You'd be hard pressed to find a shorter rise on a pair of pants that size.
Anyway, anyone know of a similar pant with more normal proportions? Say, a 10.5 rise or more

6 months? Looks like you've been watching a lot of t.v. in those, Moonshoes.

I wore my 710s damp after their first soak and they stretched a shit-ton. Pre-soak they were very tight in the waist, post-soak they were probably an inch and a half short of being buttoned, and by the end of the day they were too loose. So my advice is to forgo the 2x4 thing and just wear them damp.

picssssssssssss
aahhh, I'm over reacting. The discoloration is pretty slight. My digital camera can't even capture it. With some wear those few spots will blend right in.
Still the fit's a bit big. Think I'm gonna put these (size 33) on the market and size down 1.

More Samurai 710xx (props to all the others!). Also at 10months, 1 hand wash, one more wash coming soon. Color is lighter than actual, though it can really vary, even to the eye, depending on the light. I also found that the denim really comes alive after a wash, and then gets more monochromatic after a few weeks of wear.
