I say no on the coat. its not a bad coat but theres nothing that sets it apart from a basic $40 helly hanson pvc shell i got for an outdoor job years ago

i figured loft would have it. tokyu hands might but you may as well just go to sekaido in shinjuku, they carry it

edit: there are 2 sekaido in shinjuku, the biggest is near the 3chome station

agreed on the sole. id prefer all black. the only ones that had that is the monochrome docs i think? cant find them anywhere.

doc 1462 or solovair 9954
http://www.williamlennon.co.uk/footwear/9954-solovair-shoes.html
i like them over the 1461 because they have no yellow stitch and the last/shape seems to be a little more modern.

^you won't have this problem with those pencils. The pattern is not that deep so you can squeeze the pens between your fingers and it won't hurt
good to know.
home, loft is probably a safe bet. seemingly endless selection of writing supplies there.
nice namiki!

pencil looks great but i hate those grips on the fingers. i had a pen like that from muji and it really wears into you. maybe fine for a few quick notes but after a class worth my fingers hurt like crazy

i had the original version of this song stuck in my head since last week and looked it up on youtube once or twice. coincidentally i got in the car today and the university radio station was playing a cover of it i'd never heard.
cover is here: http://fandmtheband.bandcamp.com/track/maybe-tomorrow-theme-from-the-littlest-hobo-by-bush-crossen-agincourt-music-used-by-permission0 -

I have an English made blanket and love it. Very warm and heavy and a good piece to dress up the couch IMO. Lots of interesting history behind them as well.

^ nice username, haha.
yeah, i'm on the broke college student budget, so a TOJ is out of my range. this fits awesome, but it's rather tight (isn't it supposed to be?).
anyhow, i just needed a second opinion on the shoes. no go, it is.
PS - the fitting room had like 10 light bulbs of various colors. i was in a rush to take pics because the store was closing.
didnt even notice the username. weird haha
anyway if its similar to the pics i like it. as long as it doesnt restrict movement much its probably fine.

i dont know if its the sepia in the picture but that colour looks awesome on tthe varsity. cant go wrong for 85 as im sure if it doesnt work out you can flip it for at least that
i wouldnt pay 40 for those shoes i dont think, unless they were alden or allen edmonds and in great shape

Edit: Those Docs look like Trickers but with Made in China quality...rather cop Trickers, or something similar
are MIC docs really that bad? anyway in that pic i really like the mmuted gray/purpleish colourway, but in some other pics they look too purple. overall shape i like though

does APC (specifically any APC in Tokyo) still do trade ins? mine are well worn but were always a little too slim
getting half off a new pair would be nice.

thanks. its a danish piece from the 50s or 60s. im unsure of the designer so far but when i search google images for danish modern desk similar designs come up every few pages, so it might have been a somewhat common design at the time.

another year to organize. more random thoughts to write down. where do you put them?
one of the most cathartic parts of the new year for me is getting rid of my old planner and buying a fresh one. for the last year ive used a delfonics linen diary. slightly larger than a molskine but i love the fabric cover and the layout is quite good
i want to get a postalco cover this year, but i might wait on that for my next japan trip
