  1. so i'm going to kop some outlier trousers this f/w but which cut or other labels do you guys recommend for peeps like myself who like lounging in their nike free's and other slim profile running shoes? Been rocking just dri-fit nike shorts but want to move into pants with tee or OCBD w/ a light outerwear tech piece as well (think ervell or something, or even NSW Italy line etc.)

i rock the OG trousers on the regular with nike free run 3.0s... match made in heaven.

also if anyone cares, storystore on 19th and 10th in nyc has a pretty good selection of outlier, including blazers if you missed that (i think they had a full set of navy and 38/40 in grey as of yesterday).

  2. can anyone ID these sunglasses for me, if possible? If not, something close. Cat-eye style but the cat-eye is pretty pronounced on these.

can anyone id or suggest something similar?

Second/Thirding this... love those squared off frames

  3. Guys how weather/water resistant and general rough use capable is 3A-5TS and the DP fabric bag attachments (3A-MZ2TS, 3A-MK1, 3A-MTS4, etc)? I know some of you guys have had them for ages.

FWIW, I've had the 5TS and various attachments (MK1, MK2, MK3, MTS4) for about a year. Mostly used for work in nyc, but it's been snowed and rained on regularly while I trudge to and from the subway and nothing ever gets wet. I also have taken it camping on numerous occasions.

The new fabric (with the diamonds) shows basically no sign of wear or tear.

  4. i guess that assumes that anyone knows what true happiness is (maybe you do). i would think true happiness would mean total peace with oneself and one's surroundings and no regrets. i imagine that any critical thinker (and/or nonbeliever) will second guess their life at some point (the mediocre existence line mentioned in the original post) and whether it makes them happy no matter what they are doing. if i had a stable baseline with low maintenance i expect that I would have deathbed regrets about not having all of those experiences i was curious about.

based on that theory that it is impossible to avoid regrets, i get a sense of fulfillment (happiness?) from

    1) having new experiences with the hope that i will enjoy them

    2) having "old" experiences that i enjoyed previously

    3) living in comfort

some experiences are more expensive than others. #3 is definitely hedonistic treadmill, though.

edit: i'm also addicted to the struggle and want to thrash until the light goes out but this may be a product of relatively youthful thinking.

  5. money can buy you experiences you wouldn't otherwise have. at this point in my life, i'd rather work and be "unhappy" (not doing what I want to do at that exact moment) in order to have periods of extreme happiness than live a low work / low maintenance lifestyle but miss out on those big bursts of seratonin.

peaks and valleys versus stable baseline is what i'm saying.

  6. there's emotional (all women) and then there's crazy (some women)

this bitch at the bar got sloppy and was crying about this guy she had been "seeing" and how it wasn't working out the way she wanted it? they apparently hadn't had sex yet so we're talking very early stages here. he couldn't go to some event with her so next thing u know she's texting in between sobs "you don't respect me as a person etc. etc."

everyone was trying to convince her not to send crazytxts but i was all about it; at least that du knows what he's dealing with and can run while he can.

that same night another girl ate guacomole off the top of a nacho platter with her bare hands... it was gross
