Temperature and time to soak the ducks?

I recently bought these as the deal was too hard to pass off.  Thinking about changing the sole though once they come in next week.  Thoughts?

Was never a fan of this brand's obnoxious stylings, but the only thing that I own from Supreme and I do mean, the "ONLY" thing that I thought was worthwhile, was their collab with Timberland using Horween as a leather substitute in their hiker material.  I switched out the laces with leather laces from White's and switched out the original sockliner because it flat out sucked..

 

 

Lol even though this thread is about LO, I found my nautica polo that's about 13 years in my closet the other day and wore it. Still in good shape like new, I looked at the tag and it says made in Canada. Figures, because if it was made in China (like the brand is now) it would have fallen apart by now. I'll post a pic when I get home, it's worth keeping and is very subtle/non loud.

If someone can find my grail hat (Fuct x Ebbets) for sale somewhere on the interwebs, you would be greatly appreciated

I have a question regarding shrinking canvas duck pants on purpose such as a pair of Roy ducks:

I have a pair of canvas duck pants coming in that may or may not be too big in the waist and length. Would putting the pants in hot water for a few hours and then hanging them out to dry do the trick to shrink them? I may be trying to shrink the pants 2 sizes down in the waist and length.

I bought my first Danners a few months ago and they took A LONG TIME TO BREAK IN. That's the only warning I have for Danner boots. If you don't feel like breaking a boot in for a LONG TIME, you might not like their boots.

Other than that, how can you say no to a pair that looks like this after years of good usage? (Not mine):

Is it better to buy in a size that is 2 or 4 sizes larger to minimize shrinking after wash? I'm buying my first duck canvas pants and I would hate to waste money on something I can't wear after a few washes.
