post pics when you get them. my guess is they'll fit perfect. they stretch quite a bit, and all the hype about them being superslim is misleading imo.

willkhitie is right, if you get a pair definitely size them tight. I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that my pair won't have awesome fades (due to being more relaxed, as well as a softer denim). But I love them just the way they are. They might end up having at the very least back pocket fades and some honeycombs.

i know the quality of docs has dropped in the past ten years, but i have a vintage pair that are awesomely worn in. i like the color of yours, though.
anyway... back to denim.

are those doc martens? if so, for once i think they look good.

Really?! No warehouses yet? Good thread.

Did they at least chainstitch afterward?

God, I love the slubbiness of PBJ's... almost as much as I hate teaser pics. More, more, more!

What's with the single vertical whiskers? or is that some sort of darting?
p.s. 501st post ftw!

those cuffs don't look tall enough to be anything but a double 'roll-over'.

I'm wondering what the expected lifespan of a pair of boat shoes is. I realize the soles were originally intended to be worn on docks, so how well will they hold up in the city?
I got a pair of rogues gallery ones, which are made by quoddy trail, and the soles appear to be pretty thin, even for boat shoes.

Great pic, Atzec. Where is that?

salaami, how long did you wait before your first wash? I like to wait a while before doing the first wash, but after that I have a more relaxed regimen. FC's are looking just dandy btw.

how come button fly fades are so prominent on some jeans? do they have huge buttons or something?

thanks! gone through probably 3 machine washes and a good number of soaks. i wear them in the tub quite often as they get dirty from my being in art school (paint, plaster, glaze, resin, sawdust, charcoal, ink, etc.)

^ Pretty sure it's just the camera and the changes in lighting.

I think I know that thrift shop, salaami. Something like '10cents' in the name of the place. They have a pretty decent selection of vintage/deadstock denims in the back room.

I plus repped both your asses.
How much wear do the overalls get, almostnice?

whats that?
It's a wooden shoe designed by Chau Har Lee. I know it's not relevant to this thread, but I thought it was too cool to excuse from posting.

As a reference, I got them in 34 (I'm a 32 in APC & 33 in PBJ xx005)
They're loose in the waistband and I feel like there's a bit too much fabric in the crotch/lap. I like how they fit in the thigh, though. The reason I don't think they'll fade all that well is a combination of the fact that they're a bit of a looser fit, as well as a more flimsy fabric due to the slack weave.
If you went true to size then I don't think you'll have any problems with them, per se, but you might wish they were a tad bit tighter.
