  1. that du is way fobby... and he even makes "custom" clothing to make it 100% more fobby.

i'm not so sure he himself even custom makes any of the items he sells. correct me if i'm wrong, but if he designs and custom makes it himself, i don't think others would have the exact same item as him:

    zicoys1982 eBay item

    http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130183007091

    someone else's eBay item:

  2. ....help hypebeasts buy more safely.

i'm not too sure all of them care that much about the authenticity, though.

the tamils and blacks (no racism) who attend UOIT (in oshawa) don't really seem to care whether it's fake or not. i mean, i'm sure it only takes a few seconds of looking at it or a few minutes of web browsing to find out, but they all rock their fake evisu's (and other back pocket print ones?), a couple of fake canada goose jackets, bape/bbc/baby milo stuff, lacoste, lrg, etc.

lol, i even remember when there were some tamils who actually posted on the WebCT discussion boards trying to sell their shit too

also, asians love their fake gucci monogrammed fanny packs worn to the side.

  3. depends on your priorities and what you want out of life. if it's money, whether to give yourself (or your parents) a better life, then go back to school.

if you are fine just living normally then keep doing what you're doing; by this i mean, if you're making enough money to keep yourself satisfied, then either/or

personally, i think that it's well worth it to invest the money in school for the future. but, if you decide to go back to school, even though you are well into your program, you may want to consider switching over to something more prospective.

for instance, i am in nuclear engineering, not because it's the coolest thing in the world, but because of the industry's promising future; you may be surprised as to just how much a nuclear engineer makes (@ Bruce Power / OPG), and it helps that many of the current ones are old/retiring

  4. If this is srs than what are the best kind of actually running shoes I need to get back in shape since winter is coming to an end so I was wondering what are the best sneaks comfort and can with stand the distance I plan to put them under..

    • new balance
    • mizuno

i've had good experience with both. they're light, breathable, comfortable, and have had years of life

  5. tsk tsk. he probably got tempted because he could get:

$10 back with a new eBay MasterCard

$10 back with a new eBay MasterCard

$10 back with a new eBay MasterCard

he just could not say no to such a great deal =/

  6. i dont know if this has been asked, but is there a typical pd of time from assembly of the group to its first show/season?
He is supposed to show his first collection FW09-10, next winter for Paris men's fashion week.

tom said it in his post

  7. Counter-point to the thread: Sidneylo loves when he sees a white guy dating a butt fucking ugly Asian girl. Take them all. Allllllll of 'em...

haha, i go to a predominantly white university, and it is pretty funny when i see a white guy dating an asian chick who looks like she just got off the boat in the morning

but it also confuses me when i see asian chicks that choose to date white guys, choose the douchiest, whitest looking dudes ever. =/

asns hate potatos as a substitute for rice and noodles

    definitely.

My mom had the multiplication chart drilled into me, from 1 to 12 by the time I was 7. Asians hate laziness.

yeah back in elementary school i was learning shit ahead of time, and it wasn't by choice. :(

and wtf? you guys (in USA) have to fill in an ethnicity on school tests?

  8. i meant i would expect Chanel items to be more expensive than his own line, more expensive than Dior Homme items, etc.

am i wrong to expect a privately owned fashion house to be more expensive?

i don't expect it to be like H&M priced if that was what you inferred from my statement

  9. Hedi Slimane News!!

    It's official.

The news is spreading all over Paris: He signed with LVMH for a men's wear line called after his name. They are already looking for staff and interns (that's how I learned the news).

He is supposed to show his first collection FW09-10, next winter for Paris men's fashion week.

excellent. great news. i hope his logo doesn't suck; i am not very fond of the new dior homme monogram.

and as artificialsky stated, it perhaps would have been more interesting if he did Chanel menswear....though i'm somewhat glad he is not, as i would expect it to be insanely priced lol

  10. #20 Being an expert on YOUR culture

is pretty lulz. my dad has an old friend from Chicago who is in his mid fifties to early sixties, and has a new lady friend everytime he comes up. and it's pretty amusing how they always somehow manage to start a conversation to my sister about cultures and being open different ethnicities. talking about how they went to an Indian person's wedding and loved the saris or went to some random asian festival.

    (the 15th comment on #20...)

"You know what’s awesome, when they want to say your name properly. No matter how many times you tell them they can’t make that noise and you don’t care if they miss the silent “h”, they gotta do it right because their ancestors fucked up something in your country.

It doesn’t make you a better person to learn how to same my name with the right accent. It doesn’t make you a bad one to say it like you have a western accent, relax."

this is always funny. my girlfriend has an asian name, and it's not enough for her to tell the professor/TA/classmate how they can say it; they want to really know how to say it properly and shit.

two instances i remember where people would just not give it up: an Indian female friend Prithi and an African teacher named Mr. Ng'ongla. everyone called him Mr.Nepps for some reason though

*note: does anyone else feel that it's easier to pronounce ethnic names when you know another language?

oh, and honorable mentions to #18 awareness and #21 writer's workshops lol.

  11. for missing classes (back in high school, mostly for English) i would just use random stuff like, "i had to take a crap" or "i was busy fighting crime." but then again, my teacher was retiring so he didn't really give a shit

in university just this past term, i missed a 20% midterm because i had food poisoning. i had to get proof, cost me $10 at the doctor's. from my experience, you can almost certainly get one from the doctor without really being all that sick.

...i ended up vomitting and clogging 2 sinks, though. shit wouldn't go down the drain. why wasn't i facing a toilet? our school facilities are sensored, so it'd randomly flush and piss me off
