  1. I'm in the market for a wallet that my girlfriend can give to me as a belated birthday present. I thought I'd try here first as I occasionally see sales threads for brand spanking new wallets although good condition second hand wallets will also be considered.

Top of my list would be Bottega Veneta, particularly if the matching key chain is still widely available so that I could acquire that too. However, other top end labels will be considered.

Please PM if you have anything that you think I might like to consider. I'm located in Australia but obviously are expecting to find what I require from os.

    thanks,

    T

  2. Because my price is $36 cheaper than buying it from an authorised retailer and having it shipped to Australia (as I had to do) as I am selling a colour that to my knowledge isn't available in Australia. Fat sell the black and green ones and Assin sell the black one, but I couldn't locate the blue one anywhere in Australia, and my opinion is the blue is the best colour. It's brand new in box, tags on, has everything it would come with from a retailer so I don't see the problem?

And not only would they be getting the wallet brand new from me for cheaper than from an authorised retailer seeing as though I've done the hard work of having it sent here, they'd be doing me a favour buying it from me and some people enjoy doing favours for other people (as my shipping costs won't be refunded if I have to send it back).

  3. I bought this wallet for my girlfriend to give to me as my birthday thinking it was small enough to use as a guy's wallet:

It came to exactly $275.99 Australian. It was $152 US + $29 US postage ( our exchange rate is really terrible at the moment!) + my bank added a conversion fee of $9 Aus.

However, because Fat sell the green version for $230 Aus + $10 Aus shipping, I'd be happy to take a loss and do it for $240 plus shipping:

In my opinion the blue is much nicer and isn't available in Australia.

  4. Hi!

I'm kind of interested in these boots, just to use as beaters:

    http://www.topman.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=17551&storeId=12555&categoryId=95277&parent_category_rn=38998&productId=664020&langId=-1

I'd need a 9 but the online store has sold out and has checked the warehouse. Unfortunately customer service can't check the actual stores to see if they have any in stock. If anyone is popping into a Topman, could they please see if there are any 9s and maybe we can work out something?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm in Australia.

  5. Thanks heaps guys. Do any of you know the grey lace ups I'm talking about? I might be able to scan and post the pic if I bring the magazine into work tomorrow. They're not on the website unfortunately. Esquire lists them at 55 pound, does that sound like it could be right?

  6. I was reading a recent edition of Esquire UK (it's the edition currently on sale here in Australia so it must be July I think, although I can check that at home tonight) and came across a pair of grey lace up COS shoes in their footwear feature.

Can anybody vouch for the quality of this brand and specifically the shoes? I also couldn't find the shoes on the COS website, but the shoes on the website seemed considerably more expensive (99 - 119 pound) than the grey lace ups which Esquire listed at 55 pound. Does anybody know whether they are still in store? Unfortunately the website only has an address for PR enquiries not stock enquiries.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  7. Without wanting to piss Jes or anyone else off, I'm also really interested depending upon insole measurement. I think I could get away with wearing these with a suit to work.

Otherwise I'm seriously considering buying the b store convertable oxford/boots that LostInNJ/FoundInNJ is selling. Wear them as work shoes with a suit during the week and turning them into boots on weekends. Thoughts? They might be a smidge too small though.

  8. every hipster in sydney has been wearing these or some form of shitty slipper for at least 2 yrs. i cnt wait for it to die.

same goes for brisbane. i have a pair of applegators that an ex gave me, i wear them around my unit complex and, at most, to the local shops. however, i have worn kung fu slippers for nearly all my life, i grew up on acreage and no joke my mother used to buy them for me and her to wear in the yard when we had to go outside to do something. i'm a big fan of the proper, you-can-only-get-them-in-one-store-in-all-of-brisbane-and-hardly-anyone-knows-where-that-is-and-i-certainly-don't-go-telling-them, really low profile, gold cup "proper" kung fus and always will be.
