ok. i take that back. i guess people collect clocks and stamps. it's not like they use them. i guess it makes sense to collect denim or sneakers too.
no problem man. i guess i'm in a slightly different position to you in that i work full time, have my own apartment and car and six suits already. i was probably a bit defensive on friday.

Who gives a fuck, tons of people have random hobbies that they occupy themselves with because they enjoy it and it interests them. A hobby is something that you do in spare time and have fun with, not something you pick up to impress other people.
Quoted for truth. As I said, I ain't no re-seller which is why I've only on-sold one pair. Once I had them I decided I'd never wear them so I sold them to a real sneakerfreaker who really wanted to cop them.
And yes, I have one pair on display but that's because they're Keith Haring joints and they're on display more for the art than the actual sneaker. Tell me, what do you spend all your hard earned on?

how long is your foot buddy? dibs on ndc if they work for me pls

it's just a hobby.
I'm with jmatsu. I have probably 80 - 100 pairs of sneakers too. Some are shit and most of them are from the sports brands - nike, nb, reebok, adidas and puma - or are converse. Although I'm now starting to get more interested in the fashion labels' sneakers (bought my second pair of dior hightops last night).
It's just a hobby, what I'm into. And although I'm far from a re-seller it's like if you pick up a good item of clothing, they hold or even increase their value. I made a handsome profit on a pair of alife ball-out pumps the only time i've really re-sold any of my collection.

I picked up the black canvas dior hightops with silver lining last night on ebay as the price was right. Pretty sure they'll work. But given my addictive personality I'm still looking for other pairs so keep those suggestions coming!

I have three Fred Perry Made In England polos (sz38) and they all fit true to size after washing them normally. Shrinking was very minimal.
I agree. I have 4 made in englands and never had any problem. They maybe have shrunk a small, small amount but nothing too noticeable at all. I also have a vintage made in portugal with a v neck polo and that's been fine too.
But I have one made in asia which i played tennis in and my right sleeve (i'm right-handed) actually stretched a shit load and know flops around disproportionately to the rest of the shirt. Always buy MIE.

hi everyone,
just wondering if anyone knows where i can pick up some common project shoes in hong kong or melbourne.
cheers
the cp website lists a melb stockist. it was somewhere i hadnt heard of before and cant recall the name of now, but i'm sure if you have a look yourself you'll also see hk stockists.

Does the elephant t only come in one colour?
And is it true that because Vibskov is quite a big guy himself, his cuts aren't hella small like some other superfuture brands?
I'm 6"3' with a long torso and broadish shoulders but definitely ain't "big" - size 30 jeans/32 dress pants. If I kop, do I kop M or L?
Also hali, are your prices in Cdn or US? How much extra to ship to Aus?

they seem to fit pretty true. i'm usually a nine and the 42 seemed loose in the OC boot. I bought the 41, and they verge on too snug. probably I should have got the 42, but it's not a big enough deal that I really regret it.
btw, gravity pope has last season's patent desert boots on sale for $150. I don't know what sizes they've still got, but I wouldn't be averse to doing a pickup. The rest of their new OC stock should be in in a week or so.
I would like to possibly take you up on that offer but am in Australia. Would we be able to work something out? I also have no idea what size I'd be, I'm a 10.5 in dunks, 10 in chucks, sometimes a 42 and sometimes a 43 in dress shoes. my foot is about 10.5 inches long if that helps!

nigga
i bought supreme jawns in large when i was fat
i cant fit into that shit any moar.
I still have a boat load of cluthes from my big boy dayz
How fat were you? I'm not fat - size 30 jeans, 32 pants - but I'm 6'3" and have broadish shoulders which put me into a large in alot of superfuture labels. Might have to keep an eye for some supermarket posts eh? Might not be as depressing as seeing all these cool jointz 2 sizes too small for me on here.

those lanvin joints are oh so nice but out of my price range.
jeremy, how do those RAF fit, compared to say the supra I picked up off you or nike?

I'm dreaming but can you please give me the length of your foot? I'm praying to God I could make these work with an insole but I'm certain I probably need a 42 or 43.
thanks

ahah and something i never thought id hear.
will scope.
yeah, the work shoes are particularly nice. leather sole, sleek shape. on sale from $200 or thereabouts to $40 at the outlet.
the only thing that lets the chukkas down is a rubber sole. but again, i kopped for $50.
ps you'll see my other thread. i'm still consideing your common projects. you copped your matboy trackies yet?

and i shouldve mentioned, and y'all may laugh, but country road seems to be getting heaps better lately. i recently picked up a nice pair of brown cap toe shoes to wear to work on days that i wear my navy herringbone suit and also a pair of chukkas for not very much at all. plus their leather overnight bags seem good for the price.
this is all something i never thought i'd say btw.

hem + haw
some cluade maus stuff (the hooded bombers and tights with pockets last winter were great)
some PAM stuff, especially their sunnies with colab
some material boy stuff
some alpha60 stuff
herringbone can't b beaten for business atire
even calibre, AG, pierucci and saba do some nice things
and for streetwear - for the homies do an amazing hooded silver leather bomber made to measure.
and although i havent purchased a new tsubi item for several years, i still have love especially for pioneering aussie fashion on the world stage along with sass + bide.
oh, and the biggest shame is that josh goot no longer does menswear.
that's it for now
oh, schwipe can occasionally get it right. especially with their ts.

Thanks for the input bra, I sure would love to peep your wardrobe one day!
I agree that white sneakers don't look that bad with them, but I think black would work better.

Apart from at work (where I need to be suited and booted every day), I very rarely wear dress shoes, only sneakers. I have maybe 80 - 100 pairs, but I seem to wear the same ones mostly. If I'm not going out to a club or somewhere where they're going to get trashed (music festival or the like), I wear a pair of white dior high tops I bought from mis. If I'm going to a club, usually converse all stars or my olympic gold nike high tops. My problem is that I don't have a good pair of black sneakers cos I don't ordinarily dig black sneakers.
But because I have the non-sparkly silver dior jeans in 19cm I think I need to get a pair (my white/gold sneakers don't really cut it with that colour jean).
So, what are some suggestions? I am aware that there's a black high top thread and I regularly trawl through that, but I thought I'd ask this as a separate specific question.
I was thinking patent common projects, ysl patent rolling or the other ysl non-patent high tops, or maybe black material boy sneakers in either patent or non patent as a cheaper option to the other 3.
While I'm at it, what kind of dress shoes would look good if I went that path as well?

Fit pics of CN pants (notwithstanding that they are too big - can you put on a belt or something? - I just want to see how they fit). ta

i've been liaising with lucky_cloud but he ain't going to make it back to gravity pope anytime soon. so, i was wondering if anyone else could go proxy for me on a pair of the patents? i know they ship here to australia but it's a flat rate of $55 CAD and I'm sure we could work something out that would benefit the both of us. i just paid US $45 to scout la for shipping for a pair of pants and when they got here i saw that shipping was only $11. i'd rather have looked after someone on here and got myself a better deal at the same time.
