Got these a few months back, have yet to wear them. they are pretty nice looking. They are Frye Jodhpurs size 11. Here is the link that I posted in another thread thst has pictures. I can take more if someone want it.

I cannot decide between something pull-on like R.M. Williams or something like the Iron Rangers. This boot thing is tough, there is just too many options. I don't know how you guys do it.

I won them in a stupid ebay bid war which i am vehemently opposed, but I was determined to put an end to a very long history of loosing on there. I feel a little bad now afterwards, the person that was sharing in bidding fistacuffs with me probably would have gotten more use of them.

For starters, I am in West Virginia, the seller is about two hours away, and I have no idea how this is going to work but I am going to give it a shot.

I have been tossing up whether to go with a Hasselblad or Mamiya medium format set-up for some time now, and this just happened come up in my searching. I was nver looking for two bodies, or so many lenses but it seems a great deal. I can not afford the entire offer, but could definitly swing half. When discussing the matter with the seller, he said he would prefer to sell the thing as a whole. He says he needs the room. Bringing up his asking price which I did not know going in, he said $2000. I emediatly said that was way to high for me and he said that a fella offered him $1400 for it two weeks ago, and he regrets not selling it to him, again saying he needed the room.

System includes:

1 chrome 500cm body,

1 black 500cm body,

3 a-12 backs, 1 polaroid back,

1 80mm blk f2.8 t* lens,

1 50mm f4 blk t* lens,

1 120mm f5.6 macro planner lens,

1 150mm f4 sonnar lens,

It seems like a pretty good deal to my inexperiencd eye.

I don't have serial #s for any of them, but may be able to get them if it is an issue.

this is a question to all the medim format or mamiya users. I have an opportunity to get a Mamiya 645 1000s , Mamiya RB67 Pro S, with pro-flash equipment for both as well as some other studio stuff i.e tripod umbrella as well as a hard case for them for 900$. the guy is even willing to drive 8hrs to meet me and show me how to use the suff. I just don't know if it a good but or not. If any of you see this, please fill me in.

am I crazy for wanting a pair of Stacy Adams Madison?

I know that they are not thought of very highly on this forum, nor on others, but I really like the low heel and slim profile of the boot. All the pictures that I have seen have certainly left more to be desired in the leather. It seems to get very fine creases from wear. I would love a pair R.M Williams, forum/special but cannot afford something like that. I know that they are a completely different boot, I was just stating it. A pair of jodpurhs may be nice, but i really like laces.

I am looking for a pair of frye brando lace in 10 1/2 or 11, or a boot that is something similar. No "commando" sole and no square toe.

I was curious if you fellas with the cocoran jump boots actually wear yours? I think they are a great looking military style boot, but was wondering how "big" of a boot they are. I wear slimmer pants and didn't know how they would fit. No one has posted pictures of themselves wearing a pair yet, just empty boot shots.
