i recommend throwing a couple hundred on a TV before purchasing a new pair of denim
Thanks but I'd much rather spend my money on jeans than a tv...
In my defense (which I hardly feel is necessary) I'm a college student, this is my apartment, I spend about 2 hours tops a day in it (not counting the time I sleep) and, hell, I don't even have cable for my TV because I would never use it anyways...difference in priorities I guess, but to each his own....

nudies back up for sale to help fund for SExSC02's....

I see, so none really in the leg opening...I guess I'll go with the sz 30! Thanks for the clarification!

thanks kiya! Actually I saw those measurements earlier in the thread, but wasn't sure how much they'd shrink after a few more hot soaks, if at all? If not, then I'll have to go with the 30 for sure...

Pretty set on getting these, but was wondering if anyone had any post soak size 30 measurements? or 31 post soak (with all the shrinkage out of the way)?

SExSC02 or SExIH03? Keeping in mind I don't bike but I do like the concept, fit, and durability of the SExIHO3's...

so who here thought it was actually not too bad of a fit?

Late on the reply for this vid, but I have to admit, this is the best sounding Filipino rap I've ever heard that doesn't make me completely embarassed for being Filipino...let's be honest, Tagalog is a pretty ridiculous sounding language at times....

Hmm I can't decide what size to get. Because I'm 6'1" 170 pounds, athletic and I wear a 31 in Dior and was going to get a 31 in Flatheads. But seeing how well those fit you I don't know if I should get a 32.
Hmmm well the the tried and true method for these jeans seems to be buying your true waist size...but I think the best thing to do is consult kiya on sizing, as I'm not sure how the length issue will work out...
Also here's a pretty helpful sizing chart: http://www.flat-head.co.uk/sizing.htm
It has the post soak measurements if you scroll down to "3001C Hard-washed" although to be honest, my inseam ended up at 33 3/4inches after two hot soaks which is almost two inches shorter than listed on that site...

Thanks for the replies guys...for some reason taking pics with shoes on didn't occur to me ....but it really did make a huge difference. I'm thinking I'll just keep this as is and buy the SExFH when that comes out as it reportedly has more taper...
benz, I'm 5'8 1/2'' and about 140lbs...these are size 31 Flatheads, true to waist although I usually size down to 29's in other jeans for a tighter fit.

hmmm...for some reason, I feel like these just aren't stacking right? These jeans aren't as "form fitting" as I'm used to, and coupled with the straight leg and no taper I feel like they make my legs chunkier...is this all in my head or should I head to the tailor?
The rear view accentuates this "ballooning effect" below the knee thats in question...

Burning hot outdoor ramen on a cold winter night when you've been out drinking...

Getting the worst gas possible after eating some greasy ass fried foods, the unbearable queesiness as you sit on the toilet trying to fart/burp it out but it won't come out because your constipated and the subsequent pains of the pressure pushing on your insides...and when it finally comes out, the mix of crap and toilet water that splashed onto your butt cheeks because all that gas pressure inside made your crap turn all liquidy....

Good to see some fit pics of the APC NS raw blacks on here...and good fit on all those jeans epic!

wow those 519's look great
levi premiums right?
i'm kinda thinking i should start wearing my premiums again...if they wear in like yours did
Indeed they are Premium's...I don't really know much else about the line though as I bought them in Japan at a time I really wasn't hardcore into denim...

^Those take5's are going to be ridiculous...
I've decided to retire these jeans for a while as my Flatheads came in, and I just don't seem to be getting anywhere with these. They're a pair of Levi's 519's, about 10ish months old, worn everyday for the first 6, and then every night to bed as PJ's (no day wear) for the remaining 4.
Next to the flatheads...they used to be that dark but have gotten significantly lighter the past few months. I'm considering washing them just to see what happens, but theres no real reason to do so as they don't smell and I haven't yet soiled myself in my sleep...

Well, I finally popped my FH cherry! Heres some fit pics after a 1 hour warm soak...at first I thought they were a little too loose, maybe I could've sized one down (used to a lot tighter fit) but I'm in love with these jeans so I'm keeping em Forgive the crappy quality...took these pictures at about 3:00am so lighting is limited...
hoping the inseam will shrink a bit more as this is only the first soak...
lost some indigo...but I used a water bin instead of the whole tub so maybe that explains the amount
comparing the color to some old levi's i've been wearing around the apartment
All in all, I LOVE these jeans...can't wait for the SExFH next year!
BTW sidneylo was also the reason I bought these jeans...haha the influence! Also, thanks again to kiya and crew!

There is a lot of interest in this project with other members of the board so Sam (owner? of the context store and supplier of the rockers) has proposed repeating this project with a new pair of jeans - Strongholds.
Make it the slim leg Strongholds in a size 29 and I'm in!!! ....please??

Surprised at all the Michiganders on here...I'm also from MI so I understand your worries...things can get pretty sloppy in the winter time but really don't worry about wearing them in the winter, as everyone on here has already said :X

where is the best Japanese in Chicago?
Don't know about best as I'm no food expert, but Oysy (oishii) on 9th and Michigan Ave. is a place I frequent when in Chicago...it's nice because it's not usually crowded, is cheap and the food is great...
