  1. what would you get...nightfalls or sharp notations?

They're totally different jeans, and the answer depends on your body type, what other jeans you have, and how intend to wear them.

Nightfall is really skinny and tight at the hem. If you can pull off that cut, then to me they are more of an everyday pair. Like Vee said, they are very nice in person.

Sharp notation is cool, but for me too shiny to wear often.

  2. ^^ I agree with vee. It just depends on your body type and the exact cut of the jeans. Even among the 17.5cms there is variation.

Last season I bought Hours of Light, a gray wash 17.5. The 29 fit my waist, but the legs gave me the leggings look. I sized up to 30 and although loose in the waist, overall they are much better, one of my favorite fits in fact.

Same for Total Eclipse from F08. I debated between two sizes and ended up getting the bigger one, which again gave me the slim leg without the leggings look.

On the other hand, this season there was that graduated fade jeans (black to white). They were so skinny in the legs that even sizing up to 33 (!) the legs were still too tight, and the waist was completely falling down.

Just depends on the way your built and the way the jeans are cut.

  3. I'm reconsidering buying another pair. When I first got those it wasn't that tight maybe I'm getting fatter. No it wasn't spray painted, it just shitty camera and I take shitty pics. It is raw. Bought it few years ago washed once or twice.

Maybe consider sizing up one and going to a 21cm cut?

  4. Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a medium weight Dior jacket. Which one is better? (Or maybe neither?)

The first is F 06 (Hedi); the second is F 08 (KVA). The first one is $200 cheaper, but probably has more wear. Warmth is not the issue, since I live in CA.

    Thanks for all opinions. :)

  5. Konboss: looks good, just need to sag them a bit. : )

So..... 07 Jake vs. 09 Jake.

I have a little experience with this. I've owned three pairs of 07 Jakes, 30, 31, and 32 (Konboss bought my 32). And I just bought the 09 Jake in 31.

In all other DH jeans, I'm 30 or 31; if I want a slimmer fit I get 30, and if I want a slightly slouchier fit I get 31. Often after stretching I get the 31's taken in a bit. So figure my true size is 30.5.

I bought 30 through a proxy figuring they would fit, and then kept sizing up. For me on the 07 Jake sizing up to 32 was not enough. I could get them on, but they were skin tight, like leggings. In other DH jeans in size 32, I can take often them off without even undoing the buttons, so the 07 Jakes were cut ultra small.

For the 09 Jake, I bought 31 and I think they fit pretty well. They are actually bigger everywhere than the 07 Jake in size 32. The leg and the hem on the 07 is really slim; on the 09 it's a bit bigger.

Regarding the wash, IMHO, the 07 Jake was one of the best DH washes ever. Konboss' pictures don't do it justice. It's not some crazy wash, but it has just the right amount of contrast, fade, distressing, and color. The 09 wash is similar, but not as good. Hard to explain the difference, just overall not the same quality.

  6. The LVA photos of Curious Affair show a lot of contrast in the wash. I've seen other photos where Curious Affair looks more uniformly washed out, and not as good.

Craiggg what size are you looking for? I remember seeing someone selling a 32.
