  1. I feel like that seller is a Sufu member. He had a link to one of his ebay auctions on a supermarket thread for another DH item not long ago. I can't remember his SN, but I'm pretty sure he's here.

i'm asking because there's a guy on eBay (item # 110182457923) selling a pair of waxed jeans claiming to be from the older Luster collection

  2. I was at SF Barneys a few hours ago. They have the black with patent strap and the greyish/brown with strap. Not all sizes though.

They don't have the white mesh but the guy said it can be ordered if one of the other stores has the size you need.

They also had a crazy-ass bronze low-top with a diamond laser cut pattern and white toe cap.

call sf barneys, i thik they might have the white straps also now.

word is out, off to the races.

  3. I just got the black canvas high tops from Know It Nothing.

Same as Famous posted above, except I kept the black laces. I love the details on them--the leather patch on the heel, the fraying on the edges of the trim, and the elastic straps to keep the tongue in place.

The guys at Know It Nothing were great; good communication and shipped them to fast.

  4. what does anyone think about this black jeans?looks cool on the runway..

I just got these. In real life they're a darker black and all the patches make them thicker than other jeans. To me, they're just unusual enough--interesting but not gaudy.

I like the cut a lot--somehow a little more slouchy and fuller in the leg but still with an 18.5 cm hem.

The one thing I dislike is that because of all the patches there are only two working pockets, the left front and the right rear.

  5. Thanks for the info Kiya.

Damn, I was ready to be there when you open the doors next Sat, but the inseam seems unfortunately short for a skinny leg, especially after a soak.

Wish it would have been longer raw so that post-soak there would be some stacking.

  7. And does anyone know how the new corduroy pants fit? Should I get my regular size?

If you are talking about the shiny black cords from this season, I'd say they run regular size for DH, or maybe just a teeny bit big. They also have a very long inseam.

Mine also stretched out more than I would have expected in just one wear, possibly because of the 2% elastane.

  8. they are kinda tight in the waist, and really hug my ass

a little too much for me

Based on this description, I'd say the fit is about right. I usually try to buy my DH jeans so that they fit something like this when new.

In my experience, DH jeans will stretch at least one inch, and often more, in the waist, with a little stretch in the hips, thighs, and knees. I would say you can't judge the fit until they've had 10-20 wears.

After the waist stretches, they will sit lower on your hips, and the ass won't be so tight because the seat will sag.

For washing, I'll either dry clean or cold water wash and hang dry so that they don't shrink back down.

  9. Some of my favorite restaurants:

The Slanted Door--Vietnamese in the Mission

Sumi--Fusion on 18th St. in the Castro

Bong Su--Fusion on 3rd in SOMA

Millennium--Wonderful vegan restaurant near Union Square

Azi--Fusion on Folsom in SOMA, ask for a booth with a private curtain

The Globe--Late night drinks and dining in North Beach/Financial District

Sushi Groove South--I'm still a sucker for this bat cave-like sushi place in SOMA

I would suggest avoiding Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, and calling the city "Frisco."
