It's nice, but like everyone else has said not exactly moving forward in any way really. My biggest dilemma is the color palette, there's a difference between muted and bleh.

I've loved seeing the cropped pants with a tiny bit of skin on the runway, it's cool to see people finally incorporating it in their own outfit.

From Hedi Slimane to Raf Simons, every designer seems to be putting out an art book of sorts. Avant-garde or utterly pretentious? Either way I'm a sucker for them. Anyone have good recommendations? Reviews?

I don't know if I necessarily like the outfit itself, but I really like the fact that there's a loose layering aesthetic without it being all entirely black goth ninja pieces. It's a nice change of pace.

Raf Simons Zipper Boots:

These boots seem to have a closet half-life here of less than a month, only to shamefully return to the supermarket to claim another victim. The boots never fit properly, and never work with any sufu fits, and are just somewhat ugly. Will 2008 be the year supertalkers let this beast die?

If by good you mean playing to a crowd full of corny white girls on E grinding against everything in sight, then I'd agree, but other than that, his mixing skills are really subpar for such a big name Dj.

Man, I missed some crazy corn by hitting up Justice instead of Girl Talk there. I caught like the last 4 minutes of this set, it was pretty insane in that tent.

Yeah, I caught all of Justice from pretty close and missed most of his set

but all the other times I've seen him have been just as fun as the tail end of his set.

okay well that answers my question... so I guess that only furthers my point that he is overhyped. I think anybody can sit down on their computer and pick apart 15 different songs to make a new one. it's just really fucking corny that people pay to go to his shows if it's just him posted up with a computer and pre-recorded shit

While it's true that what he doesn't really require any exceptional musical ability his shows are always fun. It's not just him sitting up there fiddling around with a laptop, it's more like everyone just going crazy and dancing around.
