He owns, and operates a small forum . It's only occasionally about denim and pretty bro-ish if you ask me.

I wonder if there is a safe (coal is combustible) way to utilize the pigment found in antracite?
I used to want to coat a pair of jeans in 10W30, until I realized I'd be a walking fire hazard.

One of the coolest things about being enrolled at a tech-school is that every know and again your instructor gets bored and says 'Hey, screw it, lets go turn some kerosene into noise!' and then you run the engines on an MD80.
Pretty fuckin' awesome.

We introduced our son into the world 3/5/13 @ 10:11. A big boy 8 lbs 14 oz, 21 inches long all fingers, toes, a healthy set of lungs. Mommy, Baby and Daddy are happy and healthy!
And you can hardly tell, but I am wearing 'OG' Roy jeans, a vintage tee, and chucks ohh and a smile that won't leave that my face for a LONG time.

By the way, my patch is dry as f***. I've never really treated any of my leather goods, but the patch was cracked and hard, so I applied as much leather conditioner as the thing could soak up, but it didn't do much good. I haven't put these in the dryer, but the patch is real thirsty. It doesn't look nearly as supple as Robbie's.
Anybody else experiencing the same thing?
that's really weird -- I am pretty sure I've not treated mine a single time. I may have put obenaufs on it once after I got the jeans, but I honestly cannot remember. I know I haven't done it recently. Did you machine dry yours or something? So strange yours dried out so much.

congrats Robbie!
lol your son hasn't even been born yet and you already worry bout his jeans
Gotta start him off right before the aunts and grandparents get in there... I wish I were craft enough to make a chambray onesie or something!
I've been eying the Baldwin, the pricepoint is the only concern at this point given he won't be 2T or 4T for very long.

I had almost forgotten this thread - - read back through the entire thing. GREAT thread.
My wife is 38 weeks pregnant, our son could arrive any day now. I didn't realize so many brands have made /still make selvage/dry denim for kids.
I was wondering if anyone has bought their child denim in the last 6 months.
Been toying around with the idea of starting a new long-term tour with some other guys maybe? If that didn't work out I'd really like to track down some good jeans for my son I'm just not entirely sure where to start. Most of what was linked into this thread yields 404 error pages now.
Any suggestions guys?

Kiya -- if a new zipper is needed for a repair on vintage jeans do you guys carry vintage zippers? If not, do you have any objection to using a provided vintage zipper? Also, zippers fall under the 40$ umbrella no?
