  1. I picked up a pair of the charcoal jomons. The fit is amazing and I really like the color. Does anybody know if they'll fade at all? Obviously all jeans fade to some extent, but are these meant for that?

I'll probably be keeping them anyways since they're so unique, but I'd like to know if its worth wearing these everyday for a year as opposed to getting something else for fading purposes.

  2. Finally getting around to posting my girlfriend's jeans.

After ~6/7 months, pretty much every day - except a few week break when she was in Malawi and wearing long skirts every day. Pre-Wash:

They shrunk a bit and were tight to begin with (sized down and didn't stretch) so these aren't getting any more wear.

And her new pair from Somet:

We bought them the day after she got her wisdom teeth out. The people at Context were very nice and helpful, but I imagine we looked kind of crazy. She was in yoga pants and an oversized hoody with huge puffed up cheeks and was sort of high on painkillers. But she wanted to stop so she could get a new pair of pants before school started, and we weren't sure when else we'd have time. They've been getting everyday wear for 2.5 months now, but not really worthy of an update yet.

  5. I just bought the april 77 cross transistor jeans and I really like the color and the fit, but I'm wondering if these are actually raw denim? They feel really really light (they're ridiculously comfortable and soft) and they don't seem to bleed at all. So will these fade nicely?

Also do these shrink if you wash them? I sized down 2 to a 28 (which was the smallest I could find), but they still are a little big for me - especially in the waist. I may just have a tailor take in the waist though and hopefully that would fix everything.

btw I didn't see any other info in this thread about this cut so incase anybody is interested here are the BiG measurements on mine.

    ----------------------

    April 77 - Cross Transistor sz 28

waist: 16.5 (was 16 when I first got them yesterday - they stretched this much already even though the waist is already loose)

    rise: 10

    back 14.5

    thigh: 10.5

    knee: 8

    leg: 7

    inseam: 33.5

  6. I would doubt any of them are selvedge denim for a starters.

I don't really care about that though, I'm just trying to get a cheap pair of raw denim for my brother. I don't want to spend 300 for a pair of jeans he may only wear a couple of times.

^^ true they are not selvedge inseam is 34 on pairs of eu's i had before thats the normal leg length

Thanks, do they fade alright or am I better off getting something else?

  7. Description

Raw PRPS jeans in size 30x32

    model number P37P19E-01

    looking for SOLD

These jeans are really sweet, the details on these are insane (I love the purple selvage on the inside of the coin pocket). Unfortunately these jeans just don't fit me right at all (they are a more relaxed fit which is just too big on my legs). These have all the staples of PRPS jeans: purple selvage, SELEX snaps, colored buttons, folded pockets, purple tab, leather patch.

The measurements are as follows (BiG method)

    rise: 11.5

    back 16

    waist: 15.5

    leg: 9.5

    thigh: 12.5

    knee: 10

    inseam: 32

There's very very little wear on these and they look pretty much new. They're a lot different from my other pair of raw denim (they don't bleed much and don't feel as thick/rigid) but I've seen some nice fades in these (e.g. superfuture :: supertalk :: View Single Post :: New PRPS Raw)

If there are any questions or anybody wants any additional measurements or pictures just let me know.

I haven't sold much stuff online ever but I have a little feedback here and my ebay feedback is here (all buying and all over a year ago).

Would also consider trades, and could add money if it's something I want. I'm an actual size 30, but can also size down 1 or 2.

  8. Took them about 2 months to be completely comfortable on me, but that was mainly because the crotch was a killer for me. They did eventually stretch 3 inches in the waist, which took place over several months. They were tolerable after 2 weeks, but now they are super comfortable and one of the best fitting jeans I've ever owned.

  9. This was my first pair of raw denim ever, but here are my academi's after about 5 1/2 months of everyday wear. Washed them a little early because I'm about to switch to a new pair and I want to get a solid month of post wash wear on these. I did a soak before I wore them, but then nothing else until I washed them.

    -----------------------------------

Pre-wash: (they didn't really have this much contrast except sometimes outside when the light was right)

    3752571569_3d50133262_o.jpg

    -------------------------

And post-wash: Just machine wash cold nothing special.

    3752572075_0f4f589c18_o.jpg

    3752571815_48f77230c7_o.jpg

    ----------------------------------

All in all I'm happy with them. It was hell to wear them though, I sized down two and I really shouldn't have - they were way to tight on the crotch. It took about three months for them to fit me comfortably, but they eventually stretched out 3 inches in the waist (couldn't button the top button or clasp for the first week or so). Didn't really shrink too much after the wash either. Well worth the $40.

  10. I'm interested in a cheap starting pair of raw denim, but it can't have tight leg openings, because I just can't pull them off. I usually wear a size 29-30 with a 32-34" inseam.

I was thinking about these maybe: http://www.azaleaonline.com/jc504a.html

Otherwise if anybody has a good suggestion preferablly under $75, although I could pay more as long as I know the crotch won't bust in a few months. I'm going to try and live in these for the summer. Online links would be best, unless you know where I can get them in the minneapolis area.

    Thanks

  11. Hi guys,

I am interested in getting started in raw denim, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to wear just one pair of pants for so long and also not wash it, so I just wanted to buy a cheap but still decent tester pair. I really need a pair of jeans that is loose on the bottom of the leg, otherwise I look like I have clown feet. I'm still thinking about nudies but I saw a lot of busted crotches, which I really don't want. Cheap monday has tight legs, so I can't pull them off, and most of APC stuff seems to too. Not really a fan of levi's, but if there's no other choice I suppose I could.

The price isn't so strict, but I'm kind of thinking that optimally the denim would be like $75 or under or really durable (no busted crotch after a few months), then if I ended up not reallying wearing it I wouldn't lose that much.

I was thinking about perhaps http://www.azaleaonline.com/jc504a.html for a cheap pair, but I don't know if this will fit me, I wear a 29-30 with a 32-34 inseam in most sizes. I'm also not sure if raw wash=dry denim, but I think it does.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks so much
