i'm a big fan of the Full Count 1201 chino's. have virtually lived in them all summer.

So ignored the advice and went for these in a sz32. I gave them their shrink today. Was much more cavalier than usual and just bunged them straight into a 40 degree wash. Sometimes you just have to live on the edge. As anticipated, the waist didn't shrink massively but that gives me a reason to maybe dabble in a new belt. I did take before and after pics, but my phone's camera is pretty ropey so i won't bother sharing them. Before/after measurements as follows: Waist: 17.5"/16.5 Front rise: 13.25/12.5 Rear rise: 17.25/16.5 Thigh:12.75/12.25 Inseam: 35/33.5 Leg opening. 9/8.75 Will whip a couple of inches off the leg tomorrow and crack on with them.

Thanks. Maybe I'll go down a size as a precaution.

I've been eyeing up a pair of the '46 dsb S1001xx (1000xx), size 32. When comparing against other models in the same tagged size (for example '47 1001xx, or a pair of the 1000's) the waist on the S1001's seems quite a bit bigger. A good inch or so across the width. Does this model shrink any more than the others hence they're bigger on purpose, or is it a sizing anomaly?

SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)

@AlientoyWorkmachine We're probably the closest to the St Pauls area. I'm working in the shop (son of a stag) on tues & Weds this week. It's generally quiet enough on those days to be done while you wait- or grab a coffee while it's being done if you prefer. I'm in the workshop (soldier blue) doing repairs on Mon & thurs. It's only 7 mins or so from the shop and would happily pop over to do it. Feel free to DM if you have any questions. Martin -

I'd never questioned it 'til today.

Here's a (possibly stupid) question for you, more specifically about vintage levis rather than lvc. So we all know the S in the s501, s506 etc is the wartime denomination. But what does the 'S' actually stand for? Is it 'Simplified' perhaps. Anyone know for sure?

Always a pleasure

I've got very scrawny legs and no bum. It's possibly not the jeans fault 😃

And after a 40 degree machine wash (although I doubt my machine is very accurate), and 3 inches off the hem... I'm guessing the hip flare will settle down after a bit of wear.

Happy new year to you all. I finally got round to giving my 220s their first soak. I got a bit excited and forgot to take 'before' measurements, but I'm sure someone will have already done those somewhere on here I've just given them a machine wash to get a bit more shrinkage out and once dried I'll shorten them at work. Will report back.

New member of the Denime gang. I'm tucking these away 'til Xmas so will put up pre/post wash pics in a few weeks. I normally go for sz 32 in warehouse, FC etc etc but have opted for a slightly oversized fit.

I have the same machine. It plows through leather, denim and all sorts of heavy fabrics.
