  1. If "bent out of shape" means laughing at and/or calling people out on some bullshit, then I guess I am bent out of shape about it.

You can't post shit like this and not expect to get called an idiot.

Sorry, but this is the internet we're talking about.

ps: ride your fucking skateboard/freelines the authentic/legit way - one at a time, by standing on them.

This is superfuture why so much hate on shit you've never seen before, aren't we looking for something new? Or do you want another poorly lit picture of another guy looking incredibly akward in brand new ruggedworkwear from sixty years ago on a carpet floor and flourecent light.

  2. Hey, they are right in treating them as they want to, but Hendodo has a good point.

It seems like they do all their treeclimbing, bodybowling, lavadiving etc. just to get the fades. Like the guy in the gymn that does all the workout in front of the mirror, checking himself every 5 sec.

Then again, if they just do it to have fun, then whatever. I just doesn't go with the whole "wabi sabi, "show your true side", and "relax, take it easy and chill" spirit that gets a lot of praise (it should. I agree) in here.

When the sun goes down the entire night is spent spot washing, mending by hand, watering bonsai, blazing, contemplating suiseki, looking at the growth on the bonsai, and studying the fades of the day. We wear them relentlessly yet handle them like newborn kittens in our laps. It would be weird to post picks of that, I'm sorry the pics made us come off like some wild Steve o shit just trying to get wicked fades for rep points online. We do some things for the fades but it's just for the fades, not because we are trying to impress anyone. We only share the pictures because we thought there would be other people that like to look at fades too. Maybe wearing your jeans to get fades is lame to some but I suspect that is why most of us wear raw denim.

  3. it seems that this discussion polluted the fullcount contest thread, so i thought id start a thread to continue the disscussion without filling the fc thread. I feel that pants that are this durable need hard experience, others feel that pants with this much craftsmanship should be treated like glass. What is the most respectful way to wear them? wear em hard because they were designed that way? or treat them gently for longest possible lifespan?

  5. Any of you on that Turkish coffee tip?

yo my old roomate was turkish i learned to make a good cup from him. theres an eastern euro market out on atherton where we can get it. hit me up this weekend, we can make turkish coffee over a fire in the forest. were having a weekendlong festival in the woods.

  6. i feel bad that my jeans have become such a focus, i would have waited to post them if i knew they would be the only jeans to talk about. surely many of you have a ton of character on your jeans, it seems the only activity on this thread is talking shit on my jeans, and talk about the next contest, we are all wearing the jeans, lets see some pics!

  7. need some advice on whether to soak my skulls...

after a stupid drunken escapade a couple weeks ago i woke up to find one of my 5010xx legs covered in dry mud. i was able to brush most of it off, and for the most part, its not too visible unless you really look closely. its only from the knee down on the front right leg, but i'm wondering if this will affect how they fade?

what do you think? will a warm soak get it out?

i would use a fingernail brush with a little water. i takes a little indigo but not much, its better than washing the whole thing. you'll get more dynamic fades

  8. Obviously I wasn't implying that I would stop them, idiot. I meant that there's no point in complaining or worry about it too much.

And I don't think that kids under 10 are running around posting pictures of themselves on the internet...

I'm perfectly light, I was just voicing my opinion on the matter....pal....

it seems as if you were complaining

  9. how did you repair the back pocket?

the top hem of the pocket ripped off the rest of the pocket so i took the whole thing off and cut off the rivets. then i encases the top with the hem of the pbj vintage style denim, then sewn back on.

  10. After wearing my 0105s all day for two weeks straight, and seeing just two little wear spots in the indigo thanks to my belt buckle and one of the buttons, I have no doubt those jeans have had some help. Even with hard wear, you're not going to loose that much blue, that fast.

how might i have "Helped" them?

  11. im getting ready to order mine, probably go true to size, couldnt find any on ebay though:(..just one more question, should these be pre soaked?

if you dont mind some of the honeycombs shifting, rockem raw, if you want them to stay in the same spot, i recomend boiling soak off the bat

  12. Repair work looks awesome klue, what's up with the multicolor thread?

i found a huge spool at goodwill, i think its wool, the colors are very muted and seem to be natural dyes, each section of color is about three inches and the fades into the next.

  13. Look at his 8 month FHs. There is some good wear on those, but if this is how they look after 2 weeks, then his FHs should have been totally fucked. I'm not saying the dude sanded, but I think he/they are trying way to hard.

i the time i wore the flatheads, i was also wearing the skulls, sugarcane greentea okinawas, pbj 005 blacks, vintage lees, vintage wranglers, and black ironhearts. Just because i have had them eightmonths doesn't mean i have only worn them. Besides, i have been inside all winter.

  14. As for the messing around, i mean picking at holes so you have something to repair.

he went down a huge hill on his skateboard while lying down on his stomach, face first. you would have to be magic to not get any holes. please stop accusing us of artificial distress, we are active people

  15. holy crap, what type of stuff are you doing in them to get them to fade that fast?

climbing trees, longboarding, dumpsterdiving, grinding at the club, sitting on the ground, crawling up mountains, falling, sliding down grass hill, dancing, posting up on stone, biking, hiking, camping, wrestling, the get tough workout program, soccer, climbing all the monuments in d.c., running, grinding all moss covered trees and rocks to build up that natural greencast, chilling hard, streching, cooking, bushwhacking, not taking the beaten path, squeezeing into small places, exploring. Spring break + nice weather+ a crew of denimheads= lots o' fades
