  1. new haven - urban outfitters/thom browne shoes

    ummm

theres some cool stuff in westport maybe?

theres not much shopping, or nice jean shopping in the FC.

take the train into NY. thats what i do.

  2. I never said it's pure coincidence he became so famous... I just said that right now he's the guy that dates Kate Moss and has drug problem, to most people. That doesn't make him a "star" (accidental or not), which is what you were asking for.

Regardless of that, to me he's a brilliant musician and that's all I really care about.

i feel about the same. theres a certain noteriety that comes along with dating the most photographed woman alive, and having a drug problem on top of it. but yes, he is a very talented musician. im just trying to clarify whether most people see him as just a media distraction or a legit star in his own right. its hard to even separate the two considering his celebrity, but also his celebrity girlfriend.

any word on the follow up to the blinding EP?

  3. Christ the Bootleg is a great album. i found it in a used record bin for like $2. my lp is scratched to hell now though, so i havent listened to it in years.

big a little a bouncing bee...

anyways, i love when girls are in town for one night. makes booty calls all the more sweet.

right next to the bonfire too

  4. cougar time

    fucking a

im starting to notice most of my co-workers are extremely attractive. i knew there was a few - but im definately looking now. theres this one girl - obviously a gymnast. oh my. legs like a mile long, beautiful black hair, cute face. very mario ozawa looking, but not asian. so hot.

i fucking love when girls look good in hot pants/short shorts.

  5. I think Pulp, Suede, and Blur are shit. So what? Kind of stupid making an argument based on fact that those bands hated Oasis. Big fucking surprise when Oasis hates everyone around them, just makes sense that everyone else will hate them too. Doh.

There's enough people who will tell you that Soundgarden was far more revolutionary and talented than Nirvana (including me), but that doesn't change the fact that Nirvana redefined music.

Luck's always involved, but these bands don't do music that you can simply feed to the masses like Britney Spears, no matter the amount of hype and publicity—there has to be something more.

(BTW plenty of good artists/singers have SHIT taste in music...)

so you are saying its pure happenstance that doherty has become so reknown?

  6. a great read:

    51BNGA00V4L._AA240_.jpg

its sitting on my nightstand right now. its great, but it assumes that you're very familiar with british culture already, which is a problem, because there are a lot of references that i've had to look up after reading.

proves that oasis, blur, suede, and elastica were all assholes haha

  7. ^^

    you are retarded

    this is very true.

    i dont even like milk.

quentin tarantino claims this is his favorite horror movie of all time

    VkodlmG1M18

i saw it a while ago on halloween, and to be honest, its a fucking freaky movie. ill admit i was stoned and it was like 3 in the morning, but in honesty old school horror movies are so much scarier with their low budgets and thin plotlines

and back to the pooh conversation - i just took a nice one.

  8. I would absolutely put the Libs in the same league as Pukp, Blur, whatever, strictly comparing at the same stage of development. They are two albums in, both brilliant, both quite successful. I think they are less accessible than pulp were, which hurts them on billboard, but if they had stayed together and put out more material I think they could have been the biggets band in the U.K, no quesiton.

i can see what you're saying, but in honesty, pulp and blur came from completely different musical backgrounds. pulp started at the beginning of the new wave period, while blur came out of the tailend of the shoegaze period. both bands are distinct in their own ways, but they evolved in such different ways as the libertines did. plus they never relied on a more singer-songwriter basis that the libertines did. the libertines were a duo who just happened to have a punk rock band - in terms of writing the music that is. pulp is more based around Jarvis, and blur were always a cohesive band. all great, but in terms of evolution they were very disapparate.

  9. i drank a gallon of milk and then pounded 10 shots of jager and booted. i then proceeded to shit profusely for the next week because im very allergic to diary. not just lactose intolerance, a pure diary allergy. fucking owned my stomach. but i got $30, and it wasn't even a bet.
