Rick Owens Nylon Bomber - Size: M - SOLD

I am aware how terrible these photos are and I thank you not to laugh.

This jacket is in worn but excellent condition.

    Chest: 56.5cm

    Center Zip: 55cm

    Shoulders: 46.5cm

Damir Doma Silent T-Shirt - Size: XL - SOLD

I am aware how terrible these photos are and I thank you not to laugh.

This tee is in good condition and has been washed and worn for around 2 months. Features distinct curved side seams and combined sleeve/shoulder seam.

    Measurements:

    P2P: 53cm

    Center Front Length: 67cm

    Sleeve Length: 23cm

Undercover Crew Neck Sweatshirt - Size: 4 (L) - SOLD

I am aware how terrible these photos are and I thank you not to laugh.

This sweatshirt is in good condition but has been washed and well worn. The Undercover label at the neck has been removed however the inner label is still there. The sweater features zippered hand pockets and a drawstring hem with welded eyelets, foreshadowing the direction Jun takes in later seasons.

    Measurements are as follows:

    Chest: 55cm

    Center Front Length: 62.5cm

    Sleeve Length: 75cm

Because this is a raglan sweater the sleeve measurement measures from the hem of the ribbing at the cuff to the edge of the ribbing at the collar. Also for that reason a shoulder measurement is not possible. All measurements of the garment are taken laid flat.

This sweatshirt is in good condition but has been washed and well worn. There is some seams coming apart at the hem as pictured. Honestly, this only adds to the julius aesthetic.

  2. So apparently i got signed out of my demonoid account and can't figure out my username and password and the email it was attached to is no longer around so if anyone feels like throwing an invite my way I would gladly throw some rep their way as well.

  3. Just a heads up: I was in the arc'teryx factory store in north vancouver today. They had quite a bit of veilance stuff on sale. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

    Sorry, I can't proxy though.

  4. I've had the dual and single strand bracelets from the flat head for years and wear them daily. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I also own the feather ring from self edge. Its fucking fantastic and I wore it constantly for a year. Unfortunately I have developed an allergic reaction and no longer wear it. Its incredibly easy to wear however, and would recommend it highly as well.

Recently I've been wanting some of the bracelets from jam home made:

  5. nobody thinks CP is making shoes for $5. just that the shoe itself hasnt changed at all but is now more than twice the cost of a few years ago.

I guess this statement was a bit of a hyperbole but honestly I'm often stunned by peoples perceptions on how much something costs to make and how they feel that brands stores are charging them outrageous prices for products they think cost next to nothing, which couldn't be further from the truth in most cases.

its hard to take you seriously when you make definitive statements and then say things like they are "probably making a tiny margin."

I'll explain. I'm familiar with making sneakers in Italy. I have an idea of the range for which it can be done. I'm familiar with CP sneakers, I don't know how much they actually cost, but I think I could make a pretty accurate estimate. I'm also familiar with the mark up strategies most retailers use for this sort of product. Based on knowing approximately how much the shoes cost, and how much they are being sold for at retailers I estimate that they are probably not making an amazing margin on the shoes.

i love my pair of achilles btw. got them for $200 3 yrs ago and still wear them.

That's awesome that you were able top get them for that price then. Unfortunately, the cost of manufacturing in italy has gone up over the 3 years. They simply can't make and sell them for that price anymore.

Of course, maybe I'm wrong about all of this. Maybe my numbers are way off. I'm just making educated guesses here.

  6. but fuck CP now, super inflated prices for no reason. they're great shoes, but not worth that price.

this is not true at all. Making shoes in Italy is fucking expensive, ridiculously expensive and seems to keep going up as we have all seen. CP is probably making a tiny margin, just big enough to keep their brand going.

If anyone thinks the shoes cost $5 to make and then they mark them up to $300+ you've got a lot to learn.

  7. damn errolson looked pretty proficient with those blades o.O

finally watched the video, kept waiting for him to loose it and start laughing, so please when he finally did. I love that nothing is to serious and its all in fun.

  8. it seemed like a pretty normal, tailored cut. I have a couple Patagonia pieces, and they seemed fairly similar. The like looks pretty unassuming, nothing to flashy or forward, just exceptionally well finished. The samples I saw were a size smaller than I wear, and I might even consider upping one size when I buy a jacket. I'm gonna get a shell I think, when I do I'll def post fit pics and detail shots. It sounds like they're working on bringing the prices down a bit to get more competitive, but they're already not really all that bad. I come from a snowboard industry background and geek out on materials and seamwork on outerwear, and I was pretty impressed with what I saw.

If you weren't already aware, this should be of interest to you.

Aether hasn't made anything that interesting so far, they seem to have the right idea but are going after a much more conservative market than what seems to be of interest in this thread.

They are however designed in conjunction with FYI design studio, which has been getting a lot of press lately. FYI is an amazing design studio outside of Whistler BC, that works with brands like Burton [ak] and idiom, Patagonia, Sophnet. I have a friend who interned there for a semester and was blown away. If you are interested in tech wear this is a place you want to read up on.
