Let's be honest here though, most of the people who have interesting style on this board spend thousands on clothing a year, even if they make some of it back by reselling what they already have.

Damn I'm excited to come up in May. Any reliable review sites for restaurants?
What about concert listings?

This may seem contrary to the thread, but I want to buy a non-smart phone, unlocked for my Canadian cellphone company (off-ebay or whatever). I really only need it for calling and texting, and maybe the occasional alarm clock or calculator. Something very slim would be nice. Any suggestions? I have enough distractions in my life right now without having the internet or BBM on me at all times.

I want that tiramisu my gf made in my fridge so badly, but i'm on a 1000 cal diet.
Run around three times a week and you'll be fine. Moreover, you are going to spend ages 35 till 80(death) being careful about what you eat. Why worry about it at the age when you are supposed to be eating and drinking anything that looks delicious?

Do those Jil fit like a US10 or a US 11 would you say?

Yes, if you are over 19 definitely skip res.
I was in New-new 05-06, and I hated it. I didn't meet anyone I particularly liked in res, the caf was open at inconvenient hours, and the rules made me paranoid about my weed selling habits. Vic is really hit or miss, but that's better than most of the student life at UofT which is really just miss and miss. Generally, anyone with some sense discovers that going to UofT means that your social life will end up having little to do with the University directly.

I stayed in New College. 75% engineers (read 99% socially retarded), 24% phys ed (okay people, keep to themselves mostly), 1% everyone else. It was terribel.
I am friends with lots of people from Vic. It's sort of like the hipster college, in a way. Lots of kids in English, high female to male ratio.
Innis has no meal plan, which is good/bad depending on what you make of it. Also the cheapest.
St. Mike's is for Wops.
Woodsworth is for international students.
University College is for the general student population.
Even after all these years, I don't really understand Trin. It could be fun I guess.
All in all, it doesn't matter after first year really, but my ranking would go:
1. Vic
2. UC
3. Innis
4. Woodsworth
5. Trin
6. St. Mike's
7. New
If I were to do it all again.

Anyone have a link to that thread about men's dress shoes from a while back? Had a lot of runway pics of Jil Sander shoes and whatnot. I can't find seem to find it.

yes
caught up on archer that shit is pretty funny
the cholos must work for tuco or maybe mr. pollos is trying to rub walt out because of his connection with hank
I would say they actually aren't associated with Pollos, but with the cartels. Pollos is too professional to use people like that who leave a trail of destruction wherever they go, plus he wanted Walt dead he would probably fly some assassin in.
They could be connected to Tuco, but my guess is that it's only a vague connection at best, and it's just that the cartels want to get ahold of this guy who is affecting the meth trade in Mexico.

Does Damages get better? I watched the first episode and I'm on the fence about whether I should stay with it.

Wish I still had my netflix so I could browse my ratings, but off the top of my head:
Five Easy Pieces
Lucky Star
2001: A Space Odyssey
Well, here's a top 3 at least. I've seen a good amount of movies, and really enjoyed tons of them, but these are the only 3 that have really hit me. So there you are...
What is Lucky Star?

Come and See
Cries and Whispers
North by Northwest
Cache
Rosetta
Cria Cuervos
Mulholland Drive
Apocalypse Now
The Idiots
2001: A Space Odyssey
The first 7 are definitely my top favourites, but after that there are about 30 films that could be substituted in terms of how much I love them.

where are you staying?
I don't know yet; my experience has generally been staying at girl's house near Mcgill. I have to talk to my friends.

Last time I did shrooms, I got stuck in a logical doubt loop, nothing made sense. I really want to do them on a sunny, summer's day in the next few months.

Resurrecting this thread:
What's good in Montreal these days? Restaurants, places to drink, etc. Planning a trip for my friends. If there is a reliable site for this information, please just pass that on. +rep for any help.

It's a testament to how lame Toronto public transit that in all the years I've ridden it, I don't think I've got one good story.

Yeah, see that place just doesn't inspire confidence to me. Maybe this is pretentious, but seems slightly better than a good dry cleaners, which is useful for everyday kind of stuff, but not what I am looking for (I think).

It can only work years down the road, and the purpose it can satisfy is curiosity.

This gets asked a lot, but I've never seen a good answer. Tailors in Toronto? I am not talking getting pants hemmed or crotch blowouts repaired, but more serious shit. I really want to get some major work done on a jacket, and shirt darted, shit like that.

Someone (not me) should update this.

Jealousy is the worst feeling in the world I think. It's such a terrible combination of guilt, betrayal, sadness, and shame. Even if I know it's completely irrational, I can never seem to shake it for a while. I think I feel shitty just because I feel jealous, not for whatever reason inspired the jealousy.
If you don't get jealous, then consider yourself lucky.

I love going to the movies by myself. I'll stab someone for talking in a movie real quick, though, real talk.

Papa John's is the worst pizza I've ever had.
