  1. my friend bought me a pair of uniqlo jeans in japan. I warned her that i am a size 34 and she got me a size 36... since she thought you have to get 2 size bigger in japan.. but the jean she got me was a low cut, so they are like half a inch too big.

i was wondering, is there anyway of shinking the waist only? the rest of the jean fits fine, just teh waist is a bit loose right now and i need to really tighten my belt to the max which sucks...

if i have to alter it at a place, how much would it roughly cost?

    thanks.

  2. oh, i heard from reviews that laox is almost like a best buy? As in they sell most of the products but with higher prices?

Im just looking for a digital camera that is slim. i dont need fancy functions or warrentys, jsut need a slim camera phone that i can in replacement with my dslr.

    i

  3. cool, i just packed a pair of airmax 360 for the long walks around town, and a pair of old shitty van highs that i will chuck away after the trip.

i think for the denim , i will just find something in the medium price range... probbly under 180 USD is what is my budget for a pair of denim... so far i only rock with GAP morrisons and cheap mondays :- /

  4. ya, i have been a stussy guy thru the years, but i wanna change into more of a casual look.

in japan, im mainly looking for decent priced items that will be good for layering + 2 pairs of high quality denim like samurais, and a pair of iron's.

how do the teenager guy in japan wear right now in these weather conditions? just a t and jeans? or do they still rock layers of t-shirts?

  5. ah that sgood to hear. i heard size 12, 12.5 shoes are pretty hard to find in some types of shoes in japan.. i really wanted visvim, but then i heard they don't make size 12's :(

hopefully i can grab some good blazers and winter clothes to stock up when i get back home.

  6. victoria.= wax museum....

most people i know come take the ferry every weekend to do their shopping @ downtown. UVIC is a party school, but the area is quiet most of the time.. Also I like Victoria cause if there is an earthquake, victoria blocks the tsunami waves and keeps us vancouverites alive... JK :D

  7. i use gatsby right now, but im planning on switching it up after i go to japan to see what kinda wax they have. my stylist uses this brand called Fx , smells super good but she said it is only from tokyo ...

i use gatsby fiber wax. my hair is short medium *japanese hair magazine standard*. the fiber wax is pretty good for medium hair since is not too hard that you will have to keep rubbing your hair to get the full effect. it is more liquidy, so you can play around it more. but i find it sucks for the front part of my head since everytime i use it it will clump up and make it look like i just got out of the shower kinda style...

i use gatsby clay for the part of my hair i want to look super dry, but then it is a bitch to wash out sometimes and it smells like plastic :(

  8. depends where i go. say if i go to japan, hk, china.. i will pack light, since i know i will be able to buy clothes there for cheap. I always bring at least 2 pairs of shoes. 1 pair of running shoes *airmax 360 right now* for the long walks, and a pair of converse lows for the casual days + they are great since they arn't stiff shoes so u can squish them together without sacraficing luggage space.

when i go for a 1 month trip, i will usually pack enough so that i will have enough for a full week rotation... that means, i will have 5 t-shirts, 1 pair of jean and shorts, 7 pairs of socks, 7 pairs of undewear. I find packing the accessories to be a pain since i always seem to lose a ring or braclet when i travel.. so i just bring a cheap watch.. I find the best way to save space, buy your underwear at like walmart or any cheap places that sell underwear in a package .. that way they are fresh + they are packed neatly together so you dont have scattered underwear all thru your luggage.

  9. Is fathers day soon, and i need to get my dad a gift asap... i've always done the tie gift since he likes it + he uses it. but this year, i want to give him cologne instead.

hes like 50 ish.... so what do you think is a light cologne that I should get him for like the special ocations *like family dinners, weddings etc*...

I was thinking of the prada one, but any suggestion would be wonderful.!

  10. i also like the lacoste sport one. but i think is a bit too strong sometimes... if they made it a tad less strong, i would have used it as my daily cologne instead of my armani Gio....

btw, is a great time to buy cologne right now, since is close to fathers day, and they got great deals on them... like in here, lacoste sport in only $60cdn.

  11. im staying in shinjuku area for 7 days... was wondering, what is a good hair salon I can get my hair coloured? and around how much would it cost?

as with food, whats are some unique areas in Shinjuku I should try? any places to avoid?

lastly, what are some stores around Shinjuku that you guys recommend? I checked out the superfuture's map thingy, but most of the detail are pretty bland... I around 185cm and medium build, and i heard from reading on the forums that i will have a diffcult time finding clothing? Will they have some jackets/hoodies for sale still during Mid July?

    thanks.
