  1. first time in Kobe? I find that even if you have information about stores, is super hard to find them if you have zero-minimal japanese skills... Even in Tokyo for the first time i had difficulties locating the small stores that had "better deals"

  2. are they true 35? i dont really get the samuari's sizing, when i was in japan, i tried on a pair of 34's and it fit me perfectly, but the store guy told me it will be too tight for me after shrinkage.. and then he gave me size 36 instead and he told me it will shrink to my size...

how much will the s5000 shrink if it is a size 35 or 36? I've had bad luck with most 36 size.. like my burgus lot.700's, i got a size 36 since they said is aturally size 35... but now they fit more like a 36 :(

    s5000 size 35... samurai's perfect for you!
  3. any kid with some music background can do that... all you need is a rich DJ dad with a shit load of records on the wall and a ballin setup.

Not convinced this is fully next level, just couldn't find anywhere else to post this quickly.

  4. i've been looking at the database here, and i kinda got too tired finding info after page 40... anways, im 184cm, 180 pounds with big legs and hips... what is a raw/dry denim that will fit me well after soaking? I am not too good with denim since i don't own much, but i wear size 34's in edwins, size 35 for uniqlo.. my true hip/waist length is size 35. and my length is 34'

Trying to find slim straight type of jeans.

    thanks.

  5. yeh that monk pic was surreal, how could you do that. Then again how could you hold the camera still while hes becoming mr toasty

There is actually a video of it.. I watched it and i was pretty amazed at how he can keep his composure during that few minutes of burning.. I am trying to find it, but probbly i'd get banned for posting it here ........

  6. I'm 5'5". It sucks.

I'm only 17 though, so I'm hoping I can squeeze a couple more inches out. I find that wearing slim clothes obviously works, as well as lean shoes like Chucks or Purcells. If my pants even have a little bagginess to them it makes me look so much shorter. A hat can sometimes help, as well as simple things like a long necklace, or a half-zipped sweatshirt.

dont worry man, you probbly just a late grower. my friend was 5 ft 4 ish in grade 10, and now in first year college hes like 6 feet..

@ least you can fit into those pencil fit jeans... how i wish i can pull those off.

  7. thanks for the tip, i'll search around to see if i can get me a pair to try. And i'm guessing they run big then eh? Thats also the thing i do, i find brands which run size 34 bigger... my edwins from japan are size 34, but are actually size 35.. perfect fit for me... same with uniqlo , since they make size 35~

get a pair of apc new standards in 34, you'd be very happy. very happy.
  8. My upper body , im cool with..

    my lower body..just fucking sucks..

im 6 ft 1, and medium build @ around 180 pounds. I admit my stomach is getting "above average". But the thing that pisses me off is my hips. my hips ar 35 inches across.. so.. that means i can get size 34 jeans since they will fit like spandex arond my hips.. so i have to resort to size 36, which sucks, since is a inch too big most of the time, and wearing a belt makes the jean "fold" a bit.. but i guess wiht a shirt people wont notice.....

Also, with some t-shirts, my arms are too big to fit in those damn little holes..expecially t's from japan or hong kong. It makes it look like im wearing a muscle shirt,, which i do not want to do.

  9. Very interesting link.... makes you really consider the current state of the world not only in our countries but in many third world nations. The picture of the vulture nearly made me nasues (sp)

ya I was pretty shocked to read about how the photographer commited suicide just because of that picture....

  10. you do know shipping a camera from calgary to aussy land is

    1.fucking expensive.

2.fucking risky *cause the people just chuck arond your package like a soccer ball* * i know this cause i used to work for DHL, and punk kids would chuck packages labeeld fragile into the belt like all the other packages*

  11. Are there any good ones?

    My main question now is:

Where is a good place to get cameras from, w/ International Warranties

I've been told Tsim Sha Tsui is pretty good, but I dont know of any specific shop store to go to.

How effective is haggling over there?

Just don't buy from those stores taht say duty free international store.. if your cucasian, they will chase you with a book full of their cameras in store, which in fact are mostly used and reconditioned to make it look new then sell it to you for a ass raping price.

I.T. is decent in sales. But if your over 6 ft and medium build like I am, it will be a bitch to find you the right size clothing...

  12. my friend also had that issue too. He brought his brand new d40x to a trip with me to japan, and he was whinning about how he has to carry thsi big thing around his back worrying that someone will bump into him and damage his camera.

instead, i bought my canon P&S camera with those mini tripod that wraps around anything... I had good clear pictures + i only had to carry a little waist bag intead of a backpack just for the DSLR
