About 40 hot air balloons took off in quick succession but the most attention always goes to the special shape balloons.
This motor shaped balloon was the biggest present but unfortunately since it was too late in the evening they decided against flying but still a great sight
closed off the day with fireworks

Sorry guys for the lack of updates; nothing much happened the past couple of weeks worth reporting. Been wearing the jeans on and off because it's been very hot and I also wore some chino's etc
Anyways this weekend is the peace festival at my city; it's a commemoration of the liberation by the British from the nazi's. Since 1948 it was combined into a balloon festival which is special because the balloons take off in the middle of the city from the market square.
The past ten years it has also growed into a festival with lots of squares where bands play all kind of music and a world fair with lots of delicious food stuff.
The festival is three days long but since they forecasted the best weather on saturday, we decided to go on that day because it is the most chance balloons will actually take off.
In the morning I first had to take my oldest son to soccer game
arrived at the scene when the regular hot air balloons were taking off
wearing the Denime's; the model has really grown on me; I like it a lot, not skinny and not wide

last day in the City
start of the day
The British Museum; probably my favorite museum
The gift shop; My son about to go on a rampage
since there's so much to see, we limited our visit to the Assyrian, Egyptian, American and Japanese halls; some of the highlights;

we then proceeded to Covent garden
these guys were amazing and highly entertaining
the Real McCoy's!!! loved seeing and handling all the RMC stuff in person. I was especially impressed with the Buco leather jackets
I wanted to try on the new batch of the Joe McCoy 991BK. It got the approval of the wife but I hesitated. Came back the next day and picked them up anyway :-)
closed off the day with dinner at Ed's diner. Not too bad; especially loved the onion rings

second day of our London trip
Mostly cloudy but still decent temperature; we started lining early to get inside the Natural Museum of History
My kids loved the dino's and Kobe earthquake simulator (wife not so much since she experienced the quake first hand)
Next stop The Science Museum next to the Natural History museum

Rivet & Hide was one of my primary shopping destinations; they have a great selection of brands and the service is top notch. Junior is a wonderful person; I had the chance to see him at work hemming a pair of UES 400T on a union special. I bought a Flat Head tee and leather bracelet.
I had hoped to check out Lewis Leather as well but unfortunately they were closed.
that's all for the first day

Taking a walk across Piccadilly Circus. Japan Centre is located in one of the side streets so my wife wanted to pick up some food stuff.
J Crew is also located nearby
A bit further is were shopping became more interesting to me.
Red Wing store; checked out the new models; really liked the Merchants model in ebony
Evisu and Filson store fronts
Cinch shop; all LVC items; saw some items I've never seen before, very nice inside and definitely worth a visit

Ok, just got back from a city trip to London. Needless to say London is a great city and I thoroughly enjoyed myself going all tourist and shopping mode. (my apologies for the quality of the pictures; they were all taken with a smartphone)
My kids enjoying themselves in the waiting hall to catch the Eurostar train
Upon arrival in London we couldn't check in straight away into our hotel so decided to start sightseeing immediately. Underground at Euston, our home base.
We took the underground to the Tower Bridge and grabbed one of the water taxis to Westminister to get a waterside view of some of the historical landmarks. The weather was great.
The Needle building and HMS Belfast. Wished I could have visited this battleship but my travel companions were not interested.
Big Ben which is called so not because of the size of the tower but the size of the bell :-)
On our way to Buckingham Palace.

Flash, will you pick up the Westride collaboration as well?

anyone in Japan can help me out ordering a pair of 1105's from Warehouse directly? I want to keep the arcs and tab and have them hemmed. Warehouse restocked them!

that's right Belgium aka absurdistan
the Denime's have settled in nicely, they still feel tight but not in a choking tight of way.
I took a few (boring) pictures of some nearby places until I have the opportunity to do a tour around the city
Our city hall (1878); nothing special but we do claim the biggest market place of Belgium and even until a decade ago the biggest of Europe.
The patron saint of our city 'Sinterklaas'. He gives goodies, toys and sweets on his birthday 6 December to all the good kids. He has controversial helpers ('zwarte pieten') that cause every year a discussion about whether or not they are actually racist.
Also my two oldest kids helping out and showing off their best poses.
Behind the city hall is the most recognizable landmark of our city, the Our-Dear-Mother-Marie church (1840) with a 6 meters gilded statue of Marie and baby Jezus on top.

hi guys
something arrived in the mail today
and here they are
first thing that came to mind when handling them is that the denim feels quite heavy and rough compared to my current to go pair, the Real Mccoy's Lot 004. Some nice different hues of blue starting to show.
and here are the obligatory fit pictures; I will save you the sight of my love handles bungling overneath the jeans. They are actually a bit tight but nothing I can't handle for a month.
tomorrow I'll try to snap some pictures of my little city

that's a really great fit! Love the Boston terrier as well; we'll get another Boston when we are ready for it (lost ours last year)

great fit cusswords; do you have a fit pic of the 1105 as well. I asked a proxy to get my size after a restock but he acted to slow and they've been sold out since...

crap, will try the actual store. If anyone picked up a size 29 or 30 and is not feeling them, let me know.
I was not sure about the model but after seeing the fit pictures on the blog I really like the fit of these
