  1. hey munky i played last year

i have to use a different account this year cuz i always have max teams??

is that cool with you im going to use a different account?

Yeah it's cool man, I'll just hit you up with the sign up info via PM.

Still about 4-6 spots open as of now, so any other people still want in, just post in the thread or PM.

  2. What's up. Haven't checked this thread in awhile, my bad.

Any ways, I renewed the league from last year, same everything. If you were in the league last season, all of you should have gotten invites from yahoo when signing in.

For those that were not in the league and want in this year, go ahead and hit me up a PM and I'll send you an invite/information. Check it below for overview.

    League link: http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/96929

    or alternatively: http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/league/superfuture

If anybody wants to make it more interesting and have a small pot going for top finishers, go ahead and post ideas here, I'd be down for whatever.

  3. are mx400s good? are seinheissers good in general (earbuds specifically)

Sennheisers in general are pretty good. I haven't tried the mx400s, but the cx-300s are probably one of the best bang for the buck in terms of in-ear headphones. The bass is a bit boomier than ideal and the cord does make a 'rubbing' sound if you're walking/running in them, but imho, it's pretty difficult to find a drastically better sounding set under 100.

  4. anything with aluminum will stain your shirts overtime..

edit: i started this thread over a year ago, i picked up the addidas cottontech anti perspirant with no aluminum and it has changed my sweat problesm forever...

never really sweat anymore unless it is really hot out/physical activity, also my shirts never get stains anymore from the deoderant

the only sad part about this is they discontinued the deoderant, and it is no longer available in stores....

Yeah, had been using this for the past few years, but even before it was dc'ed, always had a hard time finding it. Just never all that popular I guess. But good stuff.

Since, have been using one of the Degrees and now Old Spice w/ no AL, both been decent so far, no major stains as of yet...

  5. I want to buy some grey jeans, slim, but not like april 77, cheap monday, whatever. Number (N)ines and Dauphins are nice, but I was hoping for something a little cheaper? Anything Japanese that I can get for under $200? I know there's always apcs...

Probably a few more, but Skull 5010's come to mind and fit your criteria. Not sure about the denim, but always a big fan of the slim cut/fit on these.

  6. this is pretty noobish question.

I just got some o/w 811's and they have hardcore creases where they were folded during storage/shipping.

just cold soak 'em and try to flatten the creases out before hanging them to dry? SOP?

Try either cold soaking them inside out and while wet (in the tub), lightly massage them so the fabric "un-creases", then hang dry.

Or...a quicker alternative would be to turn them inside out, then using an iron, carefully iron them out.

If they're not too "hardcore" though, I'd just wear them. Should flatten out with time/wear.

  7. can somebody give the inseam length after washing for a pair of pbj 005??

i'm a little confused because i always thought they would be around 33 " after washing, but this one guy whos selling them measured 35" after hot-soak + machine dry....

    thanks in advance...

Most of them should end up around 33" inseam, give or take a 1/4-1/2 inch.

I'm not sure about the 35" inseam post hot soak/dry. Maybe they were an oddball pair or s/t; that or they still have a bit of shrinking to go still. Probably the latter.

  8. ok, we need to see nudes of ex's or current gf's

ready set fucking go, just do it!!!

Hmm, where's axtsang when you need him?

If only not for his supermarket issues...the fobby girls king had some gold back then, even if 1/2 of them were allegedly from uwants et al.

  9. Blah. Was thinking I'd go with these for awhile before doing any "preventive reinforcements" to the crotch, but only after 2 weeks, looks like I'm going to have to find some time to get on it this weekend.

Actually no damage yet, but the stitching in the crotch area is stretching more than I'd like, combined w/ all the earlier reports, and I'm not sure they'll stay intact for more than a month w/o some extra cotton re-bar.

Other than that, great jeans so far.

  10. after had soak and dry i tried to wear them again, it seems nothing different from before soak.. but they became more stiff, quite strange coz many people said that after had a soak it supposed to be became softer, it is happen to you guys ?

Did you soak and hang dry the jeans? If you hung dry them, they will feel stiffer for the first couple days of wear. Even cotton t-shirts, or pretty much any garment, will feel stiff if you only hang dry them.

But generally after repeated washings and dryings, esp. machine dry, they will become 'softer'.

  11. ^ Those fit nice fmbh. Although I'm a bit surprised they look pretty skinny/slim for a supposed 'regular' fit cut.

Personally I'd probably prefer the arctuate off, but they don't really look bad at all or nothing. Nothing wrong with keeping them either if you like them.

  12. Snus doesn't seem to be popular around here, but decided to give it a trial when I went to pick up some smokes recently. Got the american bastardized version of Camel Snus to try out. These are portioned and supposedly made in Sweden, but who knows, it's from Camel after all.

At first I thought it was shit and worthless. But have gone through a few portions now, and I must admit these aren't bad. The buzz does take awhile to get to me (~20-30 mins), but it is quite stronger than my usual cig fix. The taste is alright too, kind of like a chinese made version of bubbleyum, and of course I can get a nic fix anywhere, anytime, w/o anybody knowing or complaining.

On the negative side, even though you're not suppose to, I still get the urge to occassionally spit out the residue. My throat and gums kind of still burns sometimes. After a portion, I feel like I need to brush or at least rinse my mouth. And probably worst of all, I sometimes can't shake the feeling of being a hick, even though most likely in a year or two, all the little hipsters will be flocking this. Ok, ok, so I exaggerated the last con, but you do miss the instant sensation and gratification of lighting one up, as well as smoking looking cooler, if that matters.

Overall though, it's not bad, and after a returning to cardio act's and realizing my lungs are in some sad, piss-poor condition, I'll probably order a package online to try out the real deal later on.

  13. Haha, man those Peel Menthol Orange's look tasty. I've never seen them before though, what's their origin? I need to check the tobaccy shop to see about these.

On a sidenote, had been switching to Djarum Blacks for awhile, and they're a nice smoke...cool looking whatever...and don't smell too much like shit after smoking them, but economically those aren't working out too well. I mean I smoke less, which was my intention, but still too much considering the frequency.

Bought a few packs of parliament menthols mentioned above for a buck a pack, cause they were a buck, and they are surprisingly, one of the nicer/smoother menthol smokes that I can recall. But then again, I'm not a menthol veteran, nor have I flirted with any of the 'designer' menthols.

edit: so I see Peels are from HK. Anybody buy cigs online and have a reliable site recommendation? Googled a few online resellers, but they feel shady as f.ck.

  14. How's the sheen/finish compare on these 2?

Neither of those will have any smooth or "sheen finish", different beasts from the dior denim, especially the pbjs. they slubby and stiff as hell.

    okay....

samurai s710 or oni blue (possibly with old arcs)

I have in my current rotation:

    samurai s0500

    sugarcane okinawa

    samurai s5000bk

    sufu660

I like the idea of the slubby onis but should I resist the irresistable draw of sammies?

onis, need some more slubbiness to your already sweet collection. plus already have 2 sammys...

I have promised myself not to buy any more slim denim for a while. That's the first requirement. What's pissing me off is the Sam 710BK's are right around the corner, but again, nothing slim! I want a regular, straight leg comfortable cut that doesn't ride too much in the crotch, mid/high rise. Also, I need a long inseam: I'm 6'7", 165 lbs, around a 32" waist. I've been thinking about the 5000VX but i could use some guidance on whether those are pretty tight. The Dry Bones Guitar Wolf and Samurai American model are also looking good.

    All recommendations welcome!

the sammy 5000's won't be tight at all if you don't downsize.

if you like slubby textured denim, could check out pbj xx-003s or oni blue/red (forgot which 1 were the more relaxed fits)

and since you're pretty tall and like a higher rise...might check out some imperial dukes, true to size or up 1 size for a less slim fit.

  15. yeah they're a bit big for me. i'm usually a 29 but i bought these in 30 cause they sold out of my size. any tips on getting extra wear on them without getting the dirk look?

If you're usually a 29 and got a 30 in the NC's, you bought them about 2 sizes too big...for the typical NC look any ways.

For extra wear, just wear them often and hard; however, I'm not sure what the dirk look is though.
