  1. Shit I'm so glad I have size 13 feet. Now the dillemma is whether to get the navy/grey/orange, or the black/black/white... I hope they're legit.

edit - Also, TPR950H, under the 'Customer Service' part of the site they've got a phone number. They look legit to me. I'm gonna give them a call.

  2. These were ridiculous. Every kid in Jr High was rockin these (guys and girls). They were waaay to big and bulky. Like walking around with your foot in a Kleenex box. Marc Johnson 1s White/Gum Sole were and are one of my favorite shoes ever.

I was the only kid at school with those in the 5th grade. Mine were a cooler color scheme though - Navy/Yellow.

    TOO SICK

Also, although these are from the early 00's, Saviers!

They were great shoes, lasted forever and looked clean out of the box.

I had a few pairs of the Sherman model, but all of them were in the black on black on black colorway.

  3. I hate how it has snowed at least once a week, every week, for nearly 1 1/2 months here.

    And it's snowing now.

There's seriously this layer of perma-ice that makes driving a chore, and certainly doesn't allow for being outside much.

  4. cigs are much worse, been smoking hookah for years there are lots of tricks for a good smoke

Yeah, not to derail this topic anymore, but hookah is not as bad for you as cigarettes, from both a scientific and social aspect.

Scientifically speaking, since the tobacco is heated by coals and not burned, there is a lower occurance of carcinogens and tar in the smoke. There are also no toxic additives in the tobbaco, which of course makes it safer.

Socially it's also a more healthy thing as well. Most people don't smoke hookah every day, or even every week, and rarely do it alone. It's generally a weekend thing to do, and if you stick to that tradition, you're delivering much less smoke to your body than the average cigarette smoker does in a week.

Granted, there are exceptions to all of this as there are to many other things, but generally speaking it's accurate.

  5. ^^shouldn't you be hating on the guy's clothing, not his size? i mean, it's not like he's enormous. just big. and he's dressing fine for his body type. i guess i just don't think it's among the worst of waywt. or maybe i just don't like shark.

I anyone's hating on his size per se, but I do think that Shark is correct in pointing out that it's futile to buy premium clothing that's more often than not cut for 'fit' people. It's a waste of his money; the guy could be shopping at wal mart and would look the exact same to me.

  6. I honestly think that bizzy looks like a gaunt, confused Macaulay Culkin-wannabe in all of her pictures.

The photos themselves are usually well composed but no amount of megapixels can make me view her differently. Sorry~~~

  7. hey ande do you have any more colored pocket lining coming in? i want either turquoise or fuschia, let me know i want to get my order soon

I've been in contact with Ande and he mentioned that he'll be getting in a new shipment of pocket linings sometime this week.

  8. Thanks for your help doky²! Nice to see someone that's even taller than I am on these forums. I'm really liking the fit on those Cures, but now it's a tossup between them (which I'll have to do a bit of guesswork on regarding the size) and a pair of Ande Whall Grifters with a 38".

  9. Thank you both for your quick responses. Do you think the 36" inseam on the NS would be sufficient to get at least a little bit of stacking going on at the end of the leg, keeping in mind my height?

If you don't think so, I'm probably going to end up going with a 38" inseam on a pair of Ande Whalls.

  10. I read just about this entire thread, and still haven't found the answer to my problem.

I'm 6'3 165lbs, and I like skinny jeans. I've seen pictures of the New Standards that have the perfect look that I want, but I'm not sure what size to go with.

I know that you're supposed to size down a bit, but what I'm really concerned about is the inseam. Since I'm so tall, it's hard to achieve that 'stacking' thing at the bottom without sacrificing the slim fit around the legs.

I've read things that say that the inseam on a 32 waist is anywhere from 35-36, and I think that would be a sufficient length, but I don't know if that measurement goes down as you take the waist size down. I wear a size 33, so I'd be looking to go down to around a 31.

If anyone can lend some insight on this, I'd be greatly appreciative. Any reccomendations of other denim brands would also be welcomed.

  11. Hey Ande,

I'm definitely interested in picking up a pair of jeans from you, but I'm curious to see if you've still got a waiting list on the orders.

I'll probably have the money together to get a pair in a couple weeks, methinks.

  12. The way I see it, the more people that know about it, the more likely you are going to be able to make an order. $500 is a lot of money, and when people only want a few articles of clothing, you'll need to get a bunch of people on board. If I can find enough stuff that I like, I might be interested in going on on this.

Hey all I do is lurk though, what do I know?
