I had the same question about my Flathead 3003. I like the fit above the knee, but the leg opening is just too large. It currently measures 9.25 and I would like to take it down to about 8.25. However, the knee measures 9.5 and I'm worrried that it would look funny to have an 8.25 inch hem with a 9.5 inch knee. Is it possible to taper the jeans starting at about the knee, so I could get the knee down to about 9.0 and the hem down to 8.25? Or should I just accept the fact that the 3003 is a looser-fitting jean and wear them as such?

Shit. I'd buy a 008s if they were lighter denim. The 005s aren't super thick, but with the heat and dripping humidity right now, the jeans are sticking to me.

The 008 would have lighter colored denim, not lighter weight. It would be the same denim as the 006, which is light colored, non-slubby and gives a "vintage" fade.

s5000bk or Imperial King black? I already have the vx, and I'd like some variety, but I hate to give up hidden rivets. I can't get Somets/PBJbk's because I don't like super slim fits.

I'm trying to decide between Somet blacks and s5000bk's. I prefer the fit of the bk but the clean aesthetic of the Somet's. Would it be possible to size up on the Somets to get a fit similar to the bk, or would they just be baggy in all the wrong places if I sized up. What size shoulf I get to achieve a similar fit to the s5000bk in a size 33?

I'm thinking about ardering a pair of jeans directly from Samurai, but I'm worried about customs fees because I heard that they won't mark the value of packages down. Has anyone in the US been charged a significant customs fee on a direct Samurai order?

The Gap Gough were only tried on for 15 minutes and never worn again. The Gap security tag on the inside was removed, but they are otherwise untouched. No wash or soak.

The RRDS were worn for approx. 3 months with one warm soak at about 2 months. The back pocket stitching has been removed, they have a visible wallet fade, and they are starting to develop a small hole where they were cuffed. There is also a "cuff line" visible about an inch above each hem where they were cuffed. The whiskers and combs are just starting to come in and they have a bit of lap fade, but they still have a ton of indigo left. I'm selling them because they never get worn since I got my Flatheads, and I need money for S5000bk's. I can soak or wash them before I ship them if need be. Edit: I have pics available, but don't want to go through the hassle of uploading them. I would be more than happy to send them via email if you contact me.

I have a non-denim question: I am looking for a high-quality black zip-up hoodie, something similar to the Loopwheeler 09. I probably will go ahead and get the Loopwheeler, but I'm wondering if anyone can recommend any other brands of similar quality that I can check out before I make my decision.

I think Ironheart 634s would be a good choice. They are very heavy, and seem to be well-constructed, so you wouldn't have the problems associated with the Sammies. Also, I haven't seen too many faded pics, so it would be nice to see how they turn out after extended wear.
