  1. With the few visvim pieces I've handled I didn't really have a high regard for quality like what is typically projected here. A hoodie that looked like a toy with its plastic zipper for $350? I don't see much value in that. On the other hand, do I think margiela is more and more overpriced everyday? Yes.

Your cost production analysis may or just may not be the case with every designer as I'm sure they have different methodologies in their pricing scheme, but don't misconstrue my point. What if some companies do add riri zips just for the sake of appearing well made? Nobody really knows the answer to all of this conjecture and I too do not like this trend of "corporatization" which ultimately has one goal in mind which is profit maximization. I don't like the prices either and we definitely are getting less and less value per garment but that simply means I am buying more on sale. I can't agree with the stance of boycotting a line because it's not what you once thought if the pieces still continue to be innovative or unique or "Margiela" and still relatively well made. I do however support smaller designers who still have a little pride in their work and keep the production top notch, I think you know what I'm talking about.

Btw, Margiela does use riris on most the items that I've seen so take from this what you will.

Cas, I got the pic from a friend. That coat is for spring.

  2. However indicative a zipper may be, it is not the end all be all tale of a garment. Yes, it does indicate the choice the designer has selected, if it is indeed he who chooses them, but as a matter of fact there have been plenty of fine garments without riris and even ykk's that are exceedingly higher quality than most other things on the market.

    Poell.

PS. This coat is a little better

  3. I think barneys has the jacket, the texture is difficult to discern from the pic you'll have to see it. I think seven has the bottom two.

Klasse LA is having 50 off most of the stuff in the store. My boy picked up apc sheepskin boots (370) + shawl collar sweater (190) and cashmere diamond cardigan (330) for 50 off those prices which are underpriced to begin with.

  4. You paid $100 for a Uniqlo cardigan? You got TAKEN. $100 and Uniqlo should result in you walking out with 10 pieces, not one basic....

    +1

I was at hm today and picked up two pants and coincidentally a grey cardigan with pockets for 85 bucks. I won't look at anything over 29 in there.

  5. funny that you mentioned pretty much everything except for what i think are his strongest pieces, which are the knit sweaters ahah

Correct, I have some and can attest. Also his coats and pants are very underrated. Quality on wovens is not the best but still good.

  6. I think he looks a hundred times better than before. His old shit was looking superfuture cookie cutter. skinny/slim fit jeans and streetwear do not mix, when will superfuture learn. Its fuckin gay and makes no sense. I think he finally realized that as well. good shit soundbomber.

I saw someone wearing a Supreme x Futura tee, skinny jeans and common projects the other day. I guess superfuture really does create a bunch sheep followers not much different them hypebeast except higher price points. Needless to say I thought he looked retarded.

Agreed, lots of mindless idiots running around who can't think for themselves.

  7. You gotta put me on to the Jil too man :P

hahaa no worries my good man

Jet- Which sweaters did you end up getting?

PS- Is Barneys the only store around here that carries Jil?

Well this lady who is kind of like an aunt to me ordered them for me as a favor from her connects. I have the cardigan, and five v necks that are navy (2), black, light grey, and charcoal heather.

  8. For me, the raf simons white jacket is a must cop depending on fit and possibly a light T or two. I like the jil shorts and one of the shirts. Lanvin is too expensive to consider at full pop, will have to see what barneys gets and have my boy get them for me at his price. The low black suede is kind of what I'm after, I'm sure they will add more as it's only December.

  9. I think everyone forgets that Lanvin has done the sneakers far before this season (at least the low tops). It's just not untill now that people have taken notice here.

Actually the inaugural season's shoes appeared to be slightly different and a lot more conservative hence the reason nobody noticed. I handled a pair last year and it did not compare to the recent offerings.
