  1. Please comment on the fit.. they are very very stiff, hard to walk in almost. I thought my Dry Bones were stiff, but DAMN. The waist is also very tight and I havent soaked them yet, got my true size. Thinking about doing a lukewarm soak, I think they should fit better after. They actually fit alot slimmer than I expected, but I am happy with them. They are also not as high rise as I have heard, I couldnt pull them up very far, but it IS true what they say about a fitted seat, which is nice. Seems like the leg opening is small enough for them to stack (if I were so inclined)

  2. I just thought about this now, didnt really see it in the encyclopedia...

How much starch from a brand new pair of jeans does soaking them in warm water remove? Is it a significant amount? How about cold? Is it actually to the point where you should not want to soak them in warm, cause it removes so much? What are the advantages or disadvantages in terms of having extra starch on your jeans (for breaking them in)?

Im still on the hunt to find the perfect pair, just bought a pair of S5000VX in 26 (come as 28), so I plan on soaking them in warm... will this really even matter in the future.. I know they are just jeans, but (assuming they fit), I would like these to turn out well...

Im obviously paranoid, but hey, 250 back to back for a pair of jeans is something I cant keep doing!

  3. people always think its way cheaper to send to canada and it is if you use priority, but that doesn't have tracking, etc. EMS is the same for me everywhere.

Global priority DOES have a tracking #.. Starts with LC...

I just bought mine, came to $60 to Canada.. They are shipping Dec 10th for anyone thats wondering

  4. Yeah, luckily it suits my body.. some people on this board look ridiculously thin, Im very thin but it suits my size and the clothes I wear.. I can wear 28 no problem but on my hips...

I think I cant really have any problems with the 26 (27 actually), since Im wearing some 28 dry bones right now and are currently around 30 inches in the waist because of stretching from being on my hips I guess... No matter what I guess the sammies will be 2 inches or so smaller.. its just do I want to pay that much Im not sure.. BUT if they will eventually shrink to 26 thats a good thing I guess

  5. Im thinking about getting a pair of the Grifters in 26 but Im not feeling the small leg opening.. 18.6 cm was it? Hmm

    Also, a couple of questions:

Do you still have access to that old streaky denim youve made some pairs from before? How about any of your older stuff, such as the old leather patches with the bird? Lastly, if I order a pair is possible to get it made without the little 'ande whall' thing on top of the pocket? Nothing against the brand (obviously Im interested), but I have a thing lately for fully blank jeans.. let me know

Obviously, if any of this is asking too much I understand, I mean no disrespect

  6. Thinking about getting some sammies.. My options for a new pair of denim is very limited and I have to get a 26 waist (my natural waist).. I was thinking about some S5000VX, but Toshiko said they shrink down to this size, I think they are 28inches before shrinking.. I would soak in hot water for a few hours but people said they dont actually shrink fully, more like down 1 inch to a 27 or something.. Im having trouble finding the perfect pair of fitting jeans..

I read earlier in this thread that I should size down for the 5000VX, but this is impossible cause they dont make a 25.. am I hooped? Or should I just go for the 26? Its funny they dont even make 25 in the womens geisha model which is kind of odd I think
