I actually remember seeing those japans from a while back after he had dry cleaned, they are much different now, the japans are really the most contrasty pair of nudie drys you can get.

So I just bought these from cd1 here on sufu, they came up about a half size too big from my regular chucks, so im opting to size down. They are the hi version, I could live with hi or low, doesnt bother me.

So in short im looking for a size 8.5, high or low.

I'm hoping that someone might have bought them a half size too small and is looking to size up. Alternatively, I could possibly accept wtaps/supreme authentics or chukkas in size 9.5, if the colour and design are right! I am located in melbourne AUS.

The denim on the FH's is nicer than the skulls but the fit on the skulls is much better imo, much more modern, it should fit tighter in the ass too. Main difference in cut is the thigh and leg opening. Skull has a slightly smaller opening and FH's are tighter in the thighs.

Just put it in the washing machine inside out and wash it warm/cold.

From my knowledge the sanforisation process includes some kind or rollers or something to heavily compress the denim so that it can barely shrink more. I'm sure there are different ways of sanforising though, I think the roller method applies to Evisu.

I think the lustre comes from a combination of things, possibly mercinization or the compression of the sanforisation process.

I could be wrong though. (probably)

Polys is great and all, but the grail pair in the samurai gallery is unbeatable.

hrmm you could wait for the black 710s, most companies do a black dry jean but I don't think any of them are dyed the same way the sams are (white core). I quite like the black imperial dukes, and we saw from mondo's pics that they fade quite well.

If I can get the money together fast enough, I'd def. buy these. I do have a size 30 710 though, would you trade for size 30?

The waist won't shrink much, if it does, stretch it back out by pulling on it while its damp or wedge something inbetween it while your soaking it. The length should shrink up at least an inch.

A question about soaking. How do you guys keep a Hot soak hot? I mean i see most pics people post are in a normal bath. When I soaked jeans for the first time I used boiling water etc, had all my pots out boiling water and poured it all in a tub. But the water pretty much cools down after an hour and after 2 hours or even less it becomes 'warm' so it isn't really HOT soak anymore. Do you guys continuously add hot water? Drain out abit of water then add hot water? How do you keep your water HOT? or just leave it? And also I saw some people doing a 5 hour hot soak. Surely by 5 hours the hot soak would become a cold one in 5 hours unless something was done to keep the temperature up?

Yeah you have it right, you just take water out and add boiling water, most people would just start it hot and let it cool down.

Yeah I agree, famous got a nice patina on those.

I don't think that Nudie is all that bad, its mainly the jim cut that has problems and I think its mainly due to people wearing it kinda too low and not washing often enough. But there is something about the jim cut that makes it blow out faster then regular jeans.

I would stay away from the dry organic stevens (pilling issues), the AJ dry heavy denim is actually quite nice, its probably one of the heaviest denims Nudie has ever made, it has a sheen, its singed and dark. I like it more than the LVC denim. The cut of the average joe is really good too, quite versatile.

Hrmmm, yeah 30 sounds good I suppose. I think if you were going to get stevens then stay away from the greencast organic model, theres something wrong with that denim after its washed, it fuzzes out and pills. Try to get the other blueblack or regular denim.

3001 is more traditional denim and the 005 denim is a lot more unique, they are both slim straight legs, just pick whether or not you want rough or smooth denim. I'm personally not a fan of slub, so I'd pick the FH's

Actually i thought altering the jomons would look pretty cool, since most people would be scared to. Although I can understand why others would want to leave it untouched.

Yeh just do what tyler said and wedge something into the waist while you soak it.

What's weird is, I saw those backpocket designs, and it also had a red-tab with it. Wasn't that new design suppose to not have any infringing. lol, maybe the guy sewed it on himself.

There was a limited version, with the fronteir pocket stitching, red tab and regular shaped pockets.

Hrmm you could probably still get 710s at take5, the JB's might be a bit too slim for you though, maybe they are comparable to New Cures?

Why not just getting something from one of the european brands, April 77 or Julian Red, they have some real nice stuff out this season.
