  1. I sold my IWC 3706, and just picked up a IWC 3717 (should get here in the next two weeks). I just sent my Aquatimer to service, and since the 111 is at the deposit have no watch to wear.

In the interim I am thinking of picking up a Rolex. I was going to go with a Bell & Ross, but was thinking of doing a used Z series Seawweller for another grand. However, the new Explorer has my mind wandering again.

Any experience with either Explorer or Seadweller? An olive 03-92 is also an option, if the right deal comes along.

  2. medina green is def the better of the two, but having seen mos live i would say that his delivery is what makes him so successful.

and i never thought of him as being smart, just an underground rapper that garnered a little more exposure then others. that last statement does detract from blackstar being the fuckin' tits, however black on both sides and whatever he has done with black jack johnson have been easy passes for me.

  3. Does any one know what colors they've got in L or XL. This shirt is amazing, especially for that price.

Are the termals w/o the branding on the front on sale? Anyone know L/XL status?

Anyone willing to do a pick-up? PM if your down.

I was there last week. The price was $34 I believe. The quality is amazing, but sizes were limited. Medium and smalls. Medium in white (i got the last black). There were no Ls, or XLs. They same for the constructed short sleeves, a few red Ls, but mostly smaller sizes.

  4. what jackets do they still have at the LA store? any chance peacoats are still there?

Supreme LA only had the teal parka left in XL from this season's jackets. Oh, they also had the Nike jackets.

Spring North Face jackets were there last week. Both colors, and all sizes. I am sure that may no longer be the case.

    Very slim pickings.

  5. in the east coast it is cold as fuck and it snows mad.

    i love winstopper/windbloc

and goretex is just gully and keeps you fresh and dry, but makes you sound funny when walking.

nah, you're right. i still stand by the fact that you don't need to spend that kind of money to stay warm, or dry.

trash bags are proven just as good as gore-tex, it just doesn't breath. the advent of these materials was to ensure that an active person stays warm and dry, while they are active in extreme conditions.

  6. when you find gear that was originally for alpinist in macy's you lose a lot of credibility. tnf's quality has definitely diminshed over the years, but to be honest no one buys their stuff for their intended use. you don't need hyvent or gore-tex when you are camping out for sneakers.

  8. yes, why? do you (rhetorical question)? like jmatsu says you're not even japanese or chinese, and your tattoo looks like it was done by someone who knows nothing of japanese nor chinese art or culture.

It does look bad. Maybe it's cause I am Chinese and am exposed to a lot of great art, but that dragon looks like it was done by a white dude. Nothing wrong with white dudes, but I think you get what I mean.

  9. I have 3 suits from Dunhill when all their North American (except NYC) stores went belly up. I drove up to SF from LA in my beat Corrola and got about 6k worth of stuff for about $1200. Look forward to the re-direction.
