  1. @paulo

i don't know how long you'll stay in japan, but usually they take 1 to 2 wks to repair unless they're busy or it depends which shop you'll use (the better reputable shop, the busier).

I've had my jeans hemmed at denimworks before and it took 5 days - just bear in mind.

  2. I personally wouldn't mind if something I want was made in Japan or in China - I just want to know it beforehand.

On the other hand - those down vests (WH x Rocky Mountain) that are made in China but the price starts from 44.100 yen....I feel this is too "rip-off".

Sorry for the intervention - now please carry on discussing WH jeans.....

  3. well....somehow they - not only WH but also other Japanese brands, seem to dislike answering the question which manufacture country it is. On behalf of Japanese, I feel so embarrassed about it.....

They always tend to be cagey anyway, so my advice is - when you feel something that's too cheap, that could be made in China (or other Asian counties except Japan).....

Good luck, good fcuk everyone - have a nice shag!

  4. reviving a dead thread.

i'll be in japan in december and i'd love to find one of these...i know it's easily obtainable online, but for the price, i'd really like to try one on. it's not my usual look...

but has anyone sourced these in japan? i'll be in tokyo...

    -joshua...

Go to Hinoya in Ameyoko Market (nearest station is Okachimachi - JR line).

They have a sellection of Buzz jackets. Good luck!

P.S. I'll be in Japan in December, too.:D

  5. Sorry for the slow reply.

i fully understand that he is a small operation. do you know him personally?

No, I just spoke to him over several emails, but he's such a friendly guy.

As you say, asking your friend in Japan might be a good idea because that's exactly what I did for this time. Good luck!

  6. whose Naoto?

    Ah....that's me! ;)

BTW, just in case you might misunderstand - Mr. D/J is an individual jean enthusiast, not a shop nor a jeans manufacture at all, and he and couple of his mates have to do all services from taking orders to shipping etc on their own. So please try to understand the difficulties of trading & business he's facing at the moment. I hope it'll be sorted very soon.

  7. Naoto! You like these too?! Which one were you asking about? You in London? Can't believe you write so little, and when you do, you apologize.

Hi! I asked about DJ-501XX in which I was also interested. I'd like to get them, but it's so hard to choose the right size for me!

    Tight, just-fitted or baggier.....???

  8. Hm, I don't like the sound of this:

    Hi!

I know I shouldn't butt in like this, but just a quick note. I also sent an inquiry email to Mr. D/J last night and he kindly replied me this morning.

According to him, due to some difficulties (i.e. dealing with money from outside Japan etc.), he's not thinking of shipping international for the time being. He also mentioned about the meeting, but he was not able to tell us about further details until they've reached the agreement.

So all we can do is just wait until further notice from him. We shouldn't count chicks before they hatch.

  9. i wish naoto would post up his collection of buddy lee dolls eerie!

Hi there! I've got to check this site regularly in case someone's calling me.....

From left - engineer type, Philip 66 (gas stand in the US?) type and cowboy type.

Other Japanese replicas are not displayed at the moment due to the renovation work in my house.;)

    Ouch!

Did you have it suntanned before use?

Also, too much oiling isn't good for your wallet. According to RM web site they say,

"you don't need to oil your wallet so often if you use it everyday. Your hands give your wallet a kind of natural moisture anyway"

So in my case, I've only oiled once my Silverman just after the first sun-tanning session. The sunlight would take moisture of the leather away so I needed to do it.

  11. Naoto – how about an update on your... Silverman...? Did I get that right? I went on the RM website and they had a Brassman, but it didn't have the silver clasp cover. Anyway, your wallet must be looking tasty as hell now.

Hi there. You got it right. I'll post it here tomorrow though it hasn't changed a lot. Please wait. According to Red Moon, they stop producing Silver Man wallets at the moment, due to difficulty of obtaining silver from their suppliers
