Answer : The model without a red tub was sold @ Warehouse first flagship shop back in 1997 (as far as I remember; Sorry it's almost 20 years ago so I may be wrong but I'm sure it was the model in 1997)

The Buzz N-1 I had was faithful down to the Talon zipper, but it was also the first thing to break. Would've much rather had perfect details with a functioning zipper.
Yes.....Talon zippers could be nuisance sometimes. Modern zippers function better, I think

My two N-1s are manufactured by Toys McCoy (purchased in 2006 and 2008) and they used Talon zippers for both, F.Y.I.
P.S. my friendly advise - clothes moths really love N-1 because of its Alpaca/Wool/Cotton materials. Use the clothes moss killer you prefer and check regularly if there's any moths!

^ holy shit, Foxy wearing a pair of FADED jeans! looking good mate.
chinese no brand USN N1 deck jacket repro
tcb 50's jacket
tcb ranchman chambray
levi's satchel
just took delivery of the deck jacket yday. 130-ish euro. The lining is not alpaca of course, the zip is YKK rather than talon (was it talon on originals? think so) but the outer fabric is great and it fits really well. A score for a broke cheapskate like yours truly.
Usually they use old dead stocks of Talon, which is not so difficult to find even in these days.

Glad to hear and see you enjoying your stay in Japland.....wish I could give you a guide tour in Tokyo area! (I wonder if there's still The Cracker Jeans in Tokyo)

Sneakers get worn out & die ... I don't think they'd look better with age ... But that's a personal opinion.
Well......most of sneakers are with vulcanized soles and difficult to have them replaced. So once they've been worn out, that's it.....but that's the fate unfortunately.....let's buy new pair! (although I like well-loved sneakers)

I'm Jap who just lives in the UK so can't tell them what to do.....just sitting on the fence at the moment.
But I may have to give up my annual holiday going back to Japan this year because of plummeting exchange rate - instead going to Butlins then

Hi gang!
Just wanted to drop a line about my latest acquisiton - Euro Levi's 70500 tracker jacket. Made in Italy circa 1998 and cost me next to nothing. 70500 is slimer and longer length than famous 70505 (3rd type) but more versatile to wear. This one was Italy-Made, but other 70500 could be made in France, the UK etc.
For those who may be interested, here are the details......oh! by the way, happy new year!

@bF
I haven't tried Resolute jeans on yet but the reviews are quite good as if they're back to early Denime style.

@S.Mountain
Both textures are finer than XX type and the cut is very similar to 66 type. The hue of Kyoto edition is much "bluer" than Tokyo edition - some people dislike the colour (and the fade) of Kyoto but apparently it is much closer to vintage Levi's, according to Mr. Hayashi.

It's nice to know that some people still love and wear Denime's Tokyo and Kyoto editions!
I bought mine exactly 10yrs ago when I went back to Japan in 2005 - those were the days...... Now they became "Denim Hall of the Fame" in my wardrobe.
Kyoto edition
Tokyo edition

thank you Naoto. they're very nice ain't they? I think the pattern and cut of the 66's is really nicely done.
You're welcomed.....F.Y.I. : you might already have known it that Porky's outsources their denim products to FOB, but it may be just a rumour (they didn't tell me, of course!)
Ciao!

Tokyo is constantly changing.......the shop you've been to today may be gone tomorrow......even I, Japanese, am gobsmacked how quick they change every time I go back......
P.S. If your time is limited I'd recommend Hinoya (and some other shops in the same area) in Ueno, and don't forget to ask for deduction of tax (8%) when you spend over 10.000 yen........
