  1. http://www.brownsfashion.com/BrownsFashionSite/product/BrownsFashion_Mensstore_Jeans/80896.htm

are they the jeans you speak of.. although that says they are 21 inch jeans and i'm confused as to what that means??

I think that's an error; I believe it should be 21cm jeans, as opposed to inches. That measurement represents the size of the hem. And yes, those are the jeans that people are talking about when they refer to the 21cm jeans, but there is also the 19cm model, which most people in this thread seem to have.

  2. chrono, are you sure that these are not the japanese model? http://www.luisaviaroma.com/ecnew/Collections/SchedaProd.aspx?Outlet=False&CodStagione=45I&CodCollezione=06V&CodArticolo=132

i just ordered a pair of 21cm bruts from luisaviaroma, and they are made in japan. as you can see on the website, there are two raw 19cm model: the nostalgy, and the brut. the nostalgy, as mentioned in the thread by minya, refers to the italian 19cm model, whereas the brut is the japanese model.

  3. i think ive only ever had one bic lighter long enough to use all of the fluid. i generally lose them, lend them, or get them stolen to get full use out of them. i couldnt buy anything more expensive for the simple fear of doing the same.

  4. i have a pair of both slim jims and pbj xx005s, and they're that similar id say. both are a size 30, and id say the pbjs are looser in the waist, slimmer in the thighs, and slightly baggier below the knee.

if you're looking for something similar to the SS or RR, i would definitely recommend against the xx005s, as i dont really think they're similar. the pbjs are a lower rise, and run very slim through the thighs.

  5. damn, need to stop looking at these threads. just orderd me some diors. shit.

haha, i feel you...i just did the same thing the other day. read this thread, then ordered a pair from luisaviaroma.

that leads me to my next question: did anyone else who ordered from LVR in the US have to fill out a customs form? fedex called, and now i have to fill out an 'import id input record' in order to receive my shipment. im just curious if this is standard protocol, since i have to enter my SSN..

  6. Previous seasons used AA tees, but the newer ones seem to be cut and sew (at least the Black Label ones; can't comment about the Paris ones.) If they are the same as the Black Label, they run a bit short, and are much softer and stretchier than AA tees.

  7. emaze, i am going to soak mine because theoretically, they will become darker--the black yarns will turn a darker color and some of the residual dye will stain the white yarns. this is all theoretical of course. maybe you should wait until one of us soaks.

this seems to be true. I just finished soaking my pair and they shrunk quite nicely. I still think I could have fit into a 29, but they still look great. After the soak the weft, as well as the gold/yellow stitching has turned a much darker color. They really feel like moreso of a black jean post soak; before they come across as maybe just a dark indigo.

overall, i am very, very impressed with these jeans. everything about them is just fantastic: the denim, the rivets/buttons, the stitching, the cut, etc, etc...I could go on.

The only drawback of these jeans is that they're making me want to buy a pair of their blue counterparts.

  8. I just got mine. The denim is amazing, to say the least. I think I could have sized down to a 29, as opposed to the 30s that I got. I'll be giving them a nice long, hot soak later tonight, so hopefully they will shrink down a bit.

    Pictures to come later.

  9. during the summer i was killing my bottle of Bond No 9 - Hamptons, easily my favorite scent to date.

for the winter, i've been using Bond No 9 - New Haarlem and Costume National - Scent Intense. the latter is a bit more formal, i'd say, but it's a great scent for cold weather.

  10. i have a pair of size 30 calis that are about 3 months old. they don't have a tremendous amount of wear on them, as i don't wear them too often.

you can pm me if you're interested, and ill take some pictures of them for you.

  11. I don't think I've seen Dior jeans at any store that I have ben to in Atlanta. The only store I have not been happens to be the Saks at Phipps, however, so I cannot say for sure.

I personally work at Lenox and I know that they don't stock Dior, at least from what I can tell.
