What I really wanted to say is that I'm glad that fuck had to limp out of Detroit with the cup. Also if the wings were playing patty cake like the pens in the previous rounds they would have been healthy enough to hoist. After playing the dirty ducks and the hard hitting hawks they just did not another long series in them.

Also I was cleaning the floors at my place in Chicago the other day. Upon finishing up the front half of the house I was anxiously looking at what I was going to clean next. In doing so I took a drink of my water which was actually the pinesol bottle next to my water that I was cleaning with. Needless to say I felt different afterwards.

The wings bounced back from their single loss to Chicago with a 6 - 1 stomp. I think they have it in them to do the same this evening with Datsyuk back in the line up.

Did anybody see in the Chicago series how Kronwall was talking shit to Kane and swiped his mouthpiece out of his mouth, showed it to him, and then threw it on the ice? I missed it but my roommate found it on youtube. Stupid youtube does not work on my work computers.

Fun fact the only team to blow a 2 - 0 lead in the final were the blackhawks in the 70's. The series thus far has been nice and close with good bounces in Detroit's favor. Looking forward to seeing what they can do in Mellon arena. Osgood be looking sharp!

The only news I check is on the NHL.com sites and this story has obviously not been covered there. It seemed like things have been a bit rushed compared to previous years but I really have not questioned it as I'm excited for game 1. Good read.

Nobody in Detroit thinks of Chicago as a rival which is why I'm constantly puzzled. But I guess when you've only had 20 dry years in 100 years of hockey as opposed to the reverse you admire the game itself and not the city in which it is played.
