    i think you guys jumped the gun too quickly, i'm not saying that going to a bar to NOT pick up on girls is lame or gay or anything.

    i just thought wow thats different. read the post again and you will see nothing negative towards you guys at all, whether or not you pick up a negative connotation is entirely your perception and not at all part of what i was saying.

    i like good beer, but when i drink it, i don't wish to be with a bunch of bro dudes (see yardhouse).. its just unpleasant FOR ME. i'll just go buy some and take it to a friends and we'll drink and have a few laughs.

    i didn't have a comment as to anyone's preferences in beer, as the conversation was slowly heading away from beer discussion and more to a bar discussion, at which point i decided to post.

    so calm down guys.. lets have a beer!

    you guys really go to specific bars to drink good beer? i go to specific bars based on the type and amount of females that are present. i could give a shit about what they have on tap, as long as its import i am okay.

    oh and yardhouse is deplorable. i've only been there once and with the type of and amount of women there, i am never going back again.

    i'll stick to beauty bar, red room and continental room.

    anyone know any other places similar to that?

    Don't vote.

    I've never voted.

    Primary reason - never seen a candidate I really liked

    Secondary reason - if there was a candidate I really liked, is that candidate going to be better for ME or for EVERYONE? probably just me, which I think is unfair to everyone else, and since everyone votes with this mindset, I think the entire voting mindstate is flawed

    Tertiary reason - at this point I think its ridiculous for one person to appeal to enough to be a leader of 228 million people. this country is too big for one figure head and the notion of one is detrimental to the emotional health or patriotism or whatever (call it what you want to) of the entire country.

    Other minor reasons - electoral college is outdated and no longer tenable, more people voting encourages more fraud in counting the votes, our information about candidates is too limited and has been altered by many different lenses (media gives everything a spin) by the time it reaches us. not only do we not get all the information but the little information we get has been altered.

    Fuck voting and I encourage everyone to not vote nor perpetuate this fucked up political system in general... haha.

    Today's the day.. I've been waiting!

    Should I cop? The main reason why I wanted one was cuz Apple has effectively put my testicles in a vicegrip once I bought the og iPhone. I have to use their proprietary shiet for everything and nothing "just works" on my PC. To add to that, my brother has an iMac in the room and I think things would just work better together that way in terms of compatibility.

    I do have some reserves, though.. $1300 for what you get seems a bit pricey, and I've read that they even cut down on the student discount.. The thing is I'll be using it mainly for school, nothing too intensive really. In fact I'll probably close it and keep it in a drawer and have it set up to a wireless desktop setup (monitor, keyboard, speakers, mouse etc). So for that reason I think I can skip the 2.4GHz model since I won't need the extra 400MHz and storage space (I have an external) and the illuminated keyboard would be useless. I'm thinking about using the money I'd save on accessories like a Logitech DiNovo Edge, Airport Express, other jawns..

    I've read that people hate the glossy screen, which worries me because even though I'll be using a different monitor at my desk I'm afraid I'll sacrifice visibility when I'm doing stuff on the go / in the sun (and my school has plenty of that..) The firewire doesn't bother me since I've never used it, but the 2 USB ports seems lame too.

    anyway.. should cop?? I basically just had a conversation with myself in this post. :\

    what apple computers lack in specs they more than make up for in terms of functionality and build quality (of the software especially)

    these things will last you.

    i have the glossy screen and i love it. i never even thought it bothered anyone until you mentioned it..

    glossy screen = deeper, richer blacks and overall better contrast

    2 usb ports.. its a laptop, its a mobile device, how many things do you want to have it plugged into all at once? 2 seems to enough for me

    COP ONE.

    but be smart, cop used with applecare and save yourself a ton of money.

    What do you guys think about Guild Acoustic guitars? I'm thinking of buying a new acoustic and I am really liking the Guilds from what I've played.. From what i can see they seem to be a bargain being that you can get an all solid wood one made in USA for under $1000. Is there anything better in the price range or no?

    PS. I can get a low end Gibson (made in canada) acoustic for $681 with employee discount, am I better off with that or is the quality of the Guilds superior these days?

    have you never listened to the Beatles?

    beatles are actually not the best example of what this guitar can really sound like as harrison was using a gretsch a lot of the time and lennon was only playing rhythm parts on his rick.

    i'd say go listen to some of the earlier smiths tracks where johnny marr really shows whats up with rickys on clean.. and then listen to some of the newer babyshambles music to hear what the rick-o-sound sounds like. they play theirs through a vox ac-30 amp too so it actually grasps that rick-o-sound even better.. i don't know what johnny marr played his through, but id guess it was fender due to the super clean sound.

    either way, this guitar is sick and i throw out the offer of $850! haha let's see if you're really desperate enough to sell it because i'd buy at that price..

    Looking to buy a Piano.. Piano players help??

    Okay so I am looking to buy an acoustic piano, but I don't know anything about them. I love to play my guitar and I want to get into piano now.

    I am looking to spend no more than $300.. I just want something to start off with. I am looking to get the best possible sounding piano I can get for this amount of money. My friend has a Baldwin upright that I think sounds just fine.. His cost him $150 on ebay.

    What are things I should be looking for when buying one? I only have room for an upright but a baby grand is not completely out of the picture if it will sound better than an upright for the money. I have seen the prices of babygrands in the thousands, but here and there I come across a craigslist or ebay listing that is in the price range im looking for.. should I stay away and just go for the upright?

    What are brands to look for? What age is usually good for a piano? Any insight from experienced players?

    hotxboy or whatever was selling a white dior button up shirt that i wanted sooo bad but he sold it.. i NEED a white dress shirt within the next 2 weeks.

    my guidelines:

    1. slim fit

    2. plain, no pockets, no different color lines, simple cuffs, etc.

    3. small collar

    4. high quality material

    im a size 48 in branquinho and raf, don't know my size in dior but im pretty sure its a 38 or a 40 if they are really slim.. usually somewhere between a small and medium just show me what you got...

    brands i like: veronique branquinho, raf simons, dior homme, etc.

    price limit $200. please help me!!!!!

    i'd go with l.a. fitness. out of all the chain gyms they are the most expensive monthly, but well worth it. every time i go to mine the place is clean and organized, there is a huge variety of machines and free weights, a pool, hot tub and sauna, and the people aren't jerks or creeps for the most part. if you need help also, their classes are free and trainers are more than happy to give you some help if you need it.

    i paid like 100 to join and 35 a month

    When I think classic, i think like albums like Rubber Soul, Stone Roses, The Queen Is Dead, Definitely Maybe, Blood on the Tracks, Back in Black, etc.. out of EVERYTHING mentioned I think the only 2 you can even put in the same category as all that is probably
