  1. I noticed the same thing for some Bluenotes jeans in Canada. Think its crappy quality tho, they dont sell them around here so I am not sure, but they are sold at a 'cheap' retailer

  2. either

its written on the inner tag, or in your case there is french, so they could be made in france as well, but they dont look it

also, the rear patch does not have made in the usa in tiny type

  3. I know some on this board are like me and esp. like to cop odd variations of levis. I have a couple that have stumped even the experts on this board. I got a couple more questions for the experts:

When did the 501 start coming in black? Do a black bartack pocket and /or redline exist in black?

Is there such a thing as a 501 redline with a double set of stitch inseam instead of the single safety stitch. I found this picture snooping around on google images and kept it,

This is almost proof - although it could be the picture.

I have a pair of 501s used in the movie "almost famous" and they are a little bit different as well. They have the look of 'modern' 501s execpt that the rear patch is in the old typewritten 501-0000 style. Which leads me to believe that the jeans supplied to movies and tv by Levis are different than the regular ones.

  4. I have a pair of cutoff Levis that I left outside for a couple of months - Bleached with the sunlight. Here is what I propose if someone has the nerve/resources/jeans/time on their hands!

Need a North/south facing clothesline(Even sunlight exposure) - Plastic Line

Place a pair of jeans that already have been broke in with nice lines etc. on the line

    Use plastic clothespins

Leave on line until desired fade develops.

Only thing I have not figured out is how to treat the metal on the jeans to keep from corroding or rusting.

    Suggestions are

    -Vaseline

    -WD40

    -Silicone Spray

Or Probably a Rust-Check type Product carefully applied with a small paintbrush to keep from staining the denim

    Any Takers?

  5. Hey everyone, thought I would give you all a crack at these before I sell them on Ebay.

Would be interested in trading for anything in a 36-38 waist and30+length, pref. vintage levis but would consider any of the japan labels, pref. already broken it/faded.

    Otherwise make me an offer.......Mjj
