  1. i'm scared to make a new thread cause it'll just contain links to other threads that dont really answer my question so i'm just gonna put it here :(

i just got some raw cheap mondays that are a little loose and a lot long and i wanted opinions on off-the-shelf soaking. should i get them fitting well now? or wear them for months before doing that..

yes you should get them well fitting now, maybe even a bit tight

  2. I dont really understand what all the crying is about. We will still be able to get the same high qualities and the same cuts of Japanese jeans, just minus all the bling (or at least all the bling as we know it now). Plus I dont think you really, really truly love Denim if you don't care at all for Levis..

Levis were first, They put redtabs on their jeans (and trademarked it) back in the 30's to distinguish themselves from all other brands that used arcuates as we all know, and later trademarked their style arcuate so of course, now, when these Japanese brands that use Levis's trademarks are moving in on Levis's main market (The US, even San Francisco for crying out loud) of course they've had enough.

Dont get me wrong, I LOVE Japanese denim, the look, the feel, everything about it. And I generally think big american global corporations such as Coca Cola and Levis are bad and exploiting and whatever but, as has been stated, Levis are in the right...

  3. Elastic in the arms?? I thought there was just elastic in the back, between the shoulder blades. Is that the 'action back' feature? How many pleats are on the back then?

Oh, and since you haven't worn it too much, is it very rigid?

Haha, sorry for the q's, but this is seriously a great jacket...

    sorry for the delayed answer...

yea I ment the action back feature, there are just two pleats, one left, one right and its quite soft so its very comfy. :)

  4. David...those pics sold me on 'em (no homo)...plus what you said about them and 101B's...they DO fit just like the 101B's yes? They look sick as hell...and I too agree with the back pocket stitching removal...

Where can I get these online? Is there a certain title for that particular fit?

they dont really fit like 1944 101B, they are the same width in thigh but with a lower rise and slighlty tapered...

I cant help you with the online question though... sorry

  5. indeed I am leaving a comment here! :D

they are nice, denim feels and looks a lot like my LEE 1944 riders, the color is pretty much the same. bit heavier though, 14 oz Kaihara denim just like jinx says.. they retail at 1999 SEK which is a bit too much I would think, but you know... prices are like this in sweden and what can you do? :)

  6. David, that is such a nice jacket. I've been eyeing the 11MJ at Aero Leather for a while... what are your thoughts on the jacket?

I love the fit and my overall thoughts are that its a great jacket... ive only worn this jacket three times though... the elastic straps in the arms makes it very comfy too! :)

  7. if you think those minor things (andthe sticthing on the hem looks like that on all nudies) are flaws, then i wonder what you'll say when a hole starts developing in the crotch (this seems to happen all the time with nudies, especially slim jims)

i dont think ive ever seen a pair of, no matter the brand that doesnt have tiny "flaws", same goes for getting holes in the crotch area, that happens with all jeans...

take it easy, be happy, and wear your jeans til they fall apart
