  1. I doubt it'd lighten up the jacket though is what I'm saying. It's not going to turn a dark jacket into a lavender jacket. Either way, it was a $18 project and I like it right now.

If you really want to slow the fading process, you could always apply a fixative. I dye a lot of shit and use Raycafix dye fixative from G&S in Toronto. Inexpensive and does the job, but I'm sure there are lots of alternatives stateside.

  2. My friends who watched some of the Arsenal friendlies said that this Miyaichi guy played really well, but they were friendlies after all.

Anyone think that Liverpool might break the top 3 this season? I think it'll be man u, citeh, then Liverpool/Chelsea

I don't see Man U repeating. Rooney looks more of an attacking threat but we'll see how long that lasts. They're going to concede more goals than they're used to this year without Van Der Sar. That and Ferdinand and Vidic are carrying nagging injuries. I don't see them lasting the majority of the season.

Liverpool has a real shot if the team can settle into a winning ways. They drop too many points taking draws on games they should be winning. I think Suarez was a great signing...we'll see about Carroll.

  3. Helmut Lang Shirt is from early 2000's right around the time they moved heavily into branding. It was a dress shirting line that was meant satisfy the demand for HL branded clothing that was still safe enough for the average consumer to wear. A lot of Helmut Lang Shirt shirts have an embroidered HL for that instant brand recognition. Well made shirts, regardless.

  4. Anybody know how identification numbers on clothes work? Is there a way to check what items the numbers correspond to?

In my case it's OG Helmut Lang that came with a guarantee-card and identification number, but I believe this should be pretty easy to fake or put a card from a different item on something else etc. I don't really believe it's fake, but the guarantee-card made me curious.

First I've heard of a guarantee card on any OG Helmut pieces. As far as I know, the serial/i.d numbers on clothing tags are typically for the use of the manufacturer to help them catalog, i.d. and sort the run of certain piece and for the retailer to verify their order of stock of a certain item. The bigger the run, the more likely a serial number is printed somewhere on the inner tags. Older Lang (1986-1990-ish) doesn't have any serial/id numbers on the inner tags.

Maybe you've got an unbranded prototype or runway piece.

Does it have any original tags at all? If so, post a picture and I can verify. I've seen them all. :P

  5. Hey everyone,

long time reader, first time poster on SF. Huge fan of the forums.

Just wanted to share my new label Venn Regalia with you and possibly get some feedback as I do respect your opinions.

    A bit about the ideology:

Venn Regalia is what we're calling this new clothing company. Primarily shirts at first.Think Hedi Slimane & Vivienne Westwood having a bastard child together, it'd surely be born wearing VR. It's basically apparel for the art-driven & monarch-minded.

Venn - Two separate opposing ideas co-existing in complete harmony, overlapping to create an original expression.

Regalia - The ceremonial emblems & garments of royalty.

With each season we bring two lines, the Classic being the timeless, constant vision of Venn Regalia harnessed into logo-centric designs, while the Exclusive is much more art-focused, and inventive from year to year.

Talk about misrepresenting a product. I think you're getting way ahead of yourselves. You guys print incohesive graphic artwork onto stock t-shirts. What's with all the romantic imagery and posturing?

  6. I like the RO dunks fit. I think it would benefit from a floppy, low-hanging backpack. Needs a little something to counter-balance all the slimness and tie-in with the chunky dunks.

  7. You know what?

I could care less about being 18 again, under 10 years old is the shit.

Back when you didn't HAVE to care about money, bitches, or anything. When time wasnt of- the-essence. When waking up at 9 o'clock was early, McDonalds didn't make you feel fat, and summer vacation was 7 days a week, not just every Friday night, Saturday and most of Sunday. Back when you didn't realize how stupid people were, especially over the Internet.

Those were the good ol days.

^^^ I was like that at 18. Always a late bloomer concept.
