  1. CDG half skirt(ed?) trousers

    6403398429_ab932b0804_z.jpg

If anybody sees these around in a S / XS hit me up. I currently have the full-length CdG skirt from this same season (pleated front / plain back) and I wear it all the time - I find it works if I either wear it with my Ervell stuff and keep it really clean or I'll throw on my Lad leather and that makes it pretty aggressive looking.

  2. I am alive and a-okay!

My girlfriend told me yesterday, "I know you think I'm crazy but in reality, I'm not. I'm not crazy. I'm just crazy for you."

I think it was her attempt to be romantic or something.

You know those religious people who speak in tongues? Like those evangelicals who go crazy and say gibberish to people because of the power of god or some shit? She thinks that's real. She told me she once spent half an hour 'channeling god' once. I am not sure what that means so I asked her. She said it was like she was on PCP and DMT at the same time, could see the entire universe, and could touch people's souls.

I am not sure if she was trying to be funny, if she was serious, or if she's just insane.

killing time before i step out reading this thread and just wanted to note that i know somebody who literally starts to speak in tongues (it's a language that only she understands but she speaks at you as if other people can understand it and it really sounds like it means something, it's not just random sounds) when she gets stressed / drunk

it does make for awkward situations when people are around who don't know about it / haven't seen it before but at this point i usually either just talk gibberish back or leave

  3. tumblr_m5ftaaBm6t1r1wvllo1_1280.jpg

ehh i deleted this earlier but fuck it. my hair is crazy right now, just thought i'd put this up for laughs before i cut it again. might do the rick 'back of the head' cut for a few days before i start over.

  4. snagged the navy mock-neck with the trim details on sale in a small at ny opening ceremony, had one or two in other sizes jump on it if you're interested, probably my favorite piece of the season

    gets compliments like crazy

  5. Might have some spare passes / be able to get some - 0% guarantees and won't know pretty much until day of but it's possible. Definitely down for a SuFu comic-con lunch or something at the very least - what's good downtown that won't be just insanely packed? Most of the places that I go to are on the other side of downtown and really aren't a bad walk, you can get over to little italy / that area in about 15 minutes and it probably won't be as packed. I usually just end up at like Neighborhood or Basic Pizza if I'm even near the gas lamp but I imagine they'll be busy as hell the whole time.

  6. Lad Musician is all about the tailoring from everything I see from them - it's one of the few brands where the stuff is cut just as clean and aggressively in person as it looks on the models so I think this is a perfect collection for them. These slightly 'odd' / dated proportions with their flawless cutting is going to be a great collection in person I imagine. Lad Musician to me is always more creative than they're given credit for in my opinion but it shows up in the construction and overall approach more so than in their presentations online / in photos - I liken them more to Acne and Patrick Ervell who I think both deserve respect for being 'just slightly off' in an inexplicable yet understated and contemporary way.

edit: to be more specific i think lad musician is not dissimilar from other japanese 'repro' style companies who fetishize past subcultures / garments but instead of slavish imitation from the denim oriented brands or junya's deconstruction it's more of a re-orientation. It's like they point the past in a different direction and see what happens if, say, teddy boys moved to wearing home-made clothing inspired by raf simons rather than dissolving into other 'american' groups.

  7. obscur japanese wool double-layer cropped trousers size small

Sort of an interest check, was hoping to pick up some stuff to wear these with but I need some new audio equipment so not looking to take much of a hit on these yet so I'm currently looking for $500 for these.

Really nice, the fabric on these are great (both the interior and exterior). The wool outer is cropped to to reveal some of the lining (which is ridiculously comfortable). Two welt pockets on the back, two at the front and a regular button fly that uses those great Obscur buttons.

comme des garcons BLACK pinstripe drop crotch size small

These are really cool, unfortunately they're a bit big on me (seem to be a pretty true size 30 awaist and i'm just under) so looking to get a new pair after i sell this so not looking to take too much of a hit since these are fine with a belt. This is the 'mens' version but I'm fairly certain it's a unisex piece. Classic CdG piece and cut at a great price.

    A.P.C. Shirt XS

    $100 + Shipping

Very subtle grey stripe on this classic A.P.C. shirt. Fit on this is nice, one of the trimmer A.P.C. shirts I've tried on (fits better than a lot of current seasons ones which are quite baggy I find). Great smallish collar and the sleeves have these nice angled cuts near the buttons. Great basic shirt. (excuse the bunching on arms - wore it with the sleeves rolled recently and haven't had it dry cleaned since).

These are still completely unworn (still have the sizing tags on them). These are the ones with the colorful silk lining around the waist (invisible from outside). These are a nice fabric, seem quite sturdy. Back pockets are both interior pockets that can be closed with really nice brown tortoise-shell looking buttons.

  9. I've got some friends who work at Craft and Commerce, I'm there all the time when I'm in San Diego.

Last time I was back I tried out a few places on Convoy (been meaning to expand from Tofu House and Dumpling Inn since they're getting harder and harder to get into, not that it hasn't already been for the past several years). Went by wa dining okan for lunch - good lunch special, very small but I came at a slightly off time so no wait. Really good, friendly wait staff. Sapporo on draft. Will have to go back for dinner sometime. Also hit up yokohama yakitori for dinner with some friends - struck me as a slightly above average yakitori place for san diego - asahi on draft, give you a shot of milk before you get anything to drink. If you like slightly more unusual parts they have some great specials - the chicken heart was my favorite of the bunch.
