  1. Yeah, the fit does look great everytime i see someone post a pic wearing them on here.

But, the pics on luisaviaroma make them look pretty bad.

It seems to me that when higher end designers do denim, they for whatever reason cant just make a basic pair of 5 pocket jeans that fit well (with a few exceptions) they have to do something different, and generally designer jeans are bad because of this. Seriously, look through the jeans on luisaviaroma for example, there is some seriously hideous shit there.

to me, the butt darts are just a subtle manifestation of this.

  2. So, we all need to befriend the designer Mattias on myspace and get them from the source! Then all us JR fans can form a myspace group and call it the Julian Red Army or something like that.

  3. On the topic of skinny jeans...

anyone tried any April 77? They seem like the could be alright.

Based on what ive read, I suppose someday ill have to crack and buy some Diors..

But somehow it seems like a big leap to me to go over the 200 dollar mark for a pair of jeans. Also, i must say that i DO NOT like the butt/pocket stitching on them at all. Does it help them fit better at all?

  4. i thought i could show you my girlfriends acne raw. its the mac raw version.

worn for about 9 months before wash. remember its superslim and stretch.

unfortunally they are now really breaking a lot in beneath crotch. due to thigh wear.

dont get this new forum rules with no possible way linking images.

    so here are the links

working on my new and cheap edwin nashville. got them for 70Usd, brand new with tags. but they are a bit slim for me, so it takes some time getting used to.

this is at day 1 with my also brand new visvim bag.

damn, i need some more loose jeans for summer, theese edwin kills me :(

Those Acnes look great!! Seriously one of the best pairs of jeans i have seen!

  5. this is what im talking about. those jeans

    are awesome. love the beard.

i hope you didn't drop your dime on those pdc's

???... drop my dime on those pdc's? I dunno what you are talkin about.. I know someone made a thread asking about buying some pdc at UO, but that wasnt me.

  6. Hey man, just out of curiousity...you said you got a size 28...whats your true waist size or what size do you normally wear??.....I'm considering picking up a pair of these to see if I can get away with them at work.

I generally get 28s or 29 in all my jeans. These seem to be pretty tight in the thighs, and also in the seat too, so id say go with normal size or even up a size, but not down.

Also, these are 98% cotton 2% stretch denim, unlike some CMs which ive heard are made of a cotton/poly/stretch material

  7. those jeans and shoes look great... what cheap monday are those, and how much do they stretch? thats my main concern with jeans, that they will stretch to the point where they don't fit anymore..

They are the tight raw grey jeans.

    http://caliroots.com/system/search/product.asp?id=5208

I got a size 28.. and out of the bag i was worried they would be tighter than i wanted... then i took a nap wearing them and wore them around the house for a while and they seemed to stretch quite a bit, like more than an inch in the waist so far.

P.S. - Cheap Monday quailty feels like shit, like you could just rip the belt loops of with minimal effort, the shoes have very little padding/cushioning in them, etc., but oh well, they are designed to be somewhat cheap, and i do like alot of their stuff (even if they make a few hideous pairs of jeans). My favorite thing about the jeans is probably the back patch (which is cloth, not leather).

Caliroots shipped the stuff pretty fast, so that was cool.. it took under a week to get here.

  8. I have the hoboken black bullets and the no wash also. got them both from fos5 on sale!

I like the denim on the no wash because it has only minimal strecth (1.2% i think) and feels alot nicer than nudies stretch denim in my opinion. The black bullets are really cool, but i rarely wear them because i have too many pairs of dry jeans to break in.

  9. i just ordered the same ones! the tight raw gray jeans look good. ive been wanting a grey colored jean (although id also like a faded/lighter gray pair also, something like the tsubi faded gray or the apc overdyed grey), and ive also been wanting to try CMs, so it worked out well. Also i ordered the all-over print nonestars (on sale even).

The riding space jeans seem like an exaggerated thin finn...

also similar looking fit to the denimbirds narrow baggy.

i for one am not for the super high-rise.. looks pretty bad.

  10. i think i read on a thread here that the dye for those samurai's was a mixture of indigo and black dye, so they look black but fade more like indigo.

I wonder how the nudie black black might fade? Ive heard its basically a dry indigo jean thats overdyed in black.

And i really like the black jims on the nudie fit guide.. im hoping that my pair eventually look similar to that... though it seem like itll take many many months

  11. Heres some pics i took of my greycats slim jims They are maybe 5 months old, but ihavent worn them everyday. been wearing them really hard lately though. Wore them on a camping trip over the weekend and they got really dirt.. rolled around in the sand in them, took a nap on the beach, mountain biked a little in them, all of which which really broke them in, and now them seem to be fading and changing more rapidly.

  12. thanks for the comments. they are regular dry blue slim jims. as for the honeycombs, I took meticulous care of them. they were starched every week and when I finally washed my pair they were so deeply creased that they are still intact after 40 minutes in hot water

I guess its the lighting in the pics, but they really look like a greycast.

  13. i used to buy band shirts, but band shirts almost always fit me terribly. The ones ive had ive sold at re-sale shops or on ebay since i never wore them because of the fit. Also, most graphics on band t-shirts are generally stupid.

The problem is, alot of bands use hanes or fruit of the loom or something, and adult smalls are too big for me, Youth Large are always too wide at the bottom, and American Apparel shirts, which some bands use feel noce but dont fit me all that well and everyone i try on seems to fit different anyway.

I really like it when bands have their own clothing line with the shirts tagged and sized for them, not just stock t's with a graphic screen printed on them. But the only bands i know who have this are Radiohead and Belle & Sebastian, and their merch is consistently better than most other bands.

  14. i guess this is a good place to post these:

These are about 3.5 months old. Worn about 30-35 hours a week total (I wear them to work and thats about it). the hole in the back pocket is from a box cutter that i keep there. They are pretty much filthy, but they dont smell bad yet.

So maybe they will never look like those samurais, but i think theyll turn out pretty nice.. itll just take ALOT of patience. I'll be happy if they turn out as nice as the ones on the fit guide on nudiejeans.com

  15. yes, but doesnt he agree that if you are interested just in contrast, you shouldnt wash (its the first thing he says)?. And arent nearly all of the denimheads on here interested in getting alot of contrast in their fades? So, really he hasnt went against the beliefs of most sfers when it comes to wearing in dry denim. Hes just saying all that sweat and dirt makes the denim less durable.

  16. Simple. Quit eating more than 600 calories in a meal. Fuck your girlfriend more often / crazier. Drink water. Take the stairs.

Um.. he said in a MEAL. I guess some people cant read?? 600 a meal x 3 meals is 1800 plus a couple light snacks, plus some liquid calories (juice, milk) and thats over 2000 a day.

  17. agreed. No fast food, thats most important. When you eat healthier/fresher/natural foods you also generally feel better and more vital and therefore will feel like exercising after work.

  18. whats really sad when you think about it is.. this guy is in college (assuming hes serious, which i think he is). Damn this reflects badly on our education system. What kind of entrance requirement does SDSU have, like a 10 on the ACT or something.

  19. personally, im a big fan of (raw) nudie jeans, and i found this site through web searches while looking for more information on nudies, so being a nudie wearer made me find this site, and not the other way around.

But superdenim did turn me on to APC, which i hadnt heard of before.
