  1. After Saturday almost all international orders will be shipped. I'd be shipping all of this week, but it's like 1 million degrees out here in NYC and I need to walk to the post office, and I don't want the clothes and myself to melt on the way there.

In the meanwhile, I'm running a little middle of summer sale.

From now until Monday, August 7th at 5PM EST, I'm running a freebie sale of sorts.

    For all US orders:

Spend $50 before shipping, get a free hangover hat, wristbands or headband.

Spend $100 before shipping: get a free shirt that I sell for up to $12

Spend $200 before shipping: get a free jacket, except the 5452.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT ITEM YOU WANT. For US orders, the choice is yours.

For all international orders: Tell me what size you want, and I will throw in a 2001 shirt (whatever colors I have extra of). Spend $150 or more, and get two shirts. (I'd love to extend the same offer but frankly adding a free fleece will kill me on international shipping.)

  2. I dont think the second one of those is that bad, but the german tourist x golfer x billy the kid x rabbi look is kind weird.

The second one is bad because the jeans are clearing supposed to be slim jeans, and they're definitely too big all around.

  3. too tall?

    ...

The inseam on the SD103's is about 35's for a size 29, which will result in about a 32" or so inseam. I need a 34" inseam at least (and would prefer longer). The D1002 in the same size is much longer.

  4. i was at the marc jacobs store not even 3 weeks ago... these do not retail at anywhere near $660

try $235 around that price range...

Yeah, no. These jeans retail for $660. Call up Marc Jacbos in SoHo if you're like, and they'll tell you that the natural indigo bias cut jeans cost $660.

Marc by Marc Jacobs jeans cost around $200, regular Marc Jacobs is $600 and up.

  5. The D1002's are also slimmer than the SD103, and left hand twill. I'm actually getting pair from Blue in Greene when it comes in stock and I'm getting them tapered (I'd get the SD103's but I'm too tall for them, apparently).

  6. 45RPM and Blue in Greene are the best places to get your jeans hemmed, since they chainstitch, and BiG at the moment only hems the jeans they sell since I don't think they moved in their machine yet, so yeah, go there. $10 for a chainstitch hem.

  7. BIG does jean alterations now? chainstitching too?

Yes, although it's mainly intended for jeans bought from them. Not sure if they've moved their chainstitching machine in store yet, but they do have one. Considering that it's only $20 more to get a pair of SD's shipped and altered than most ordering services, I think it's more than worth it to get it from them, especially since they have an exchange policy, which is something you won't get from overseas.

  8. Found a brand new pair of Marc Jacobs jeans. These retail for $660 and are made with Natural Indigo.

The tag size is 46EU, but they measure 32x37. The hem measures about 20cm. As you can see in the pics, they have a very nice color and interestingly enough an angled hand, should make for some very unique and wonderful fading. Asking $360 for them.

Edit: The jeans are a bit lighter than shown in the pics.

  9. The shipping is only so high for international orders because I have to get them to my place and ship them myself. I could have them ship it directly via UPS, which would save you $8 or so in shipping, and make them come slightly quicker, but then UPS will charge you about $30 in handling PLUS customs fees. I make sure you pay neither.
