  1. dude I hope you do stuff in them, like skating (I assume you're very young! :) ). If you're just sitting and walking around (like me, but worse, only weekends), then I think it'll take a loooonnnngggg while man .... :)

  2. My order arrived on the 4th day morning after I placed my orders. I didn't get any shipping confirmation email either. Though expensive, I am very satisfied with the delivery from France to Singapore in 3 days. No complain here. :)

  3. i hate the feeling only be able to look at them but can't wear them, yet ..... :(

I tried rotation, but that's also when I realised that each pair will take forever to fade, 'coz I have only 1 pair of legs and weekends to wear jeans .....

  4. Buy a 15oz or a 17oz Samurai. I'm sure you'll be able to find a pair that are both practical and fit good. Then again, it may not need to be Samurai ..... :)

Superfuture is a great place, but there's too many good things that will kill your wallet. Be wise ......

  5. What's up with Singaporeans and their denim infatuation? I was born in Singapore but but grew up in the US. Apparently it's in our blood since none of my friends are denim freaks. Last Saturday the latent denim disease surfaced and I was driven to seek out this forum and start spending ridiculous (in my perspective) amounts of money on jeans.

Oh well, I guess we can't fight genetics! ; )

Anyway, cheers lah! Just wanted to say hi.

    Hi ................

  6. lek.... let me know if you are successful with uniqlo....... really love their cheap shirts and polo-t.........

By the way, what is the serial number on your s0500xx?? just curious :)

It's #09-493, if I'm not wrong. Have to check it tonight.

  7. wow lek looks like you spent quite a fortune. haha

    thanks for the insight!

yeah man skcusdog and lek, i drool just looking at pictures of the s0500XX.

    beautiful!

this jeans thing already took a large hit at my bank account.

i only have a pair of dukes as of now, but i am hooked!

and i can predict more pairs coming. haha

its funny when we are talking about $350 jeans and there are some people bitching over a $150 levis.

    hahahahahaaaa .... :D ..... they don't know what they're missing .... :P

S0500XX beautiful? Wait till you lay your hands on them ..... :)

I realised this after spending a fortune (29 pairs : 17 selvedges and 1 fake), stupid me, so, imo :

    1. there's nothing more fun than just wear your jeans, 1 pair at a time, feel them, bash them, rock in them, rock with them ..... ;

    2. you've got only 2 legs, and living in HOT Sg, so 1 pair at a time, my dear ....;

    3. similar to high-thread-count bed sheets, selvedge denims are more comfortable! (this is definitely personal)

    4. you're talking about fabrics that are pain-stakingly dyed blue, and if you don't wear them often (like me), they take centuries to fade!!! :o

So, imo, best is take a look around, buy 3-4 pairs (depending on your wearing frequencies) that are the best in your opinion and that's it (for the moment  ). Save the money and spend them wisely elsewhere.

    My top 3 (+1):

    1. Samurai S0500XX

    2. Sugarcane SC40400N

    3. Pure Blue Japan XX-003

    4. Evisu Lot.2000 No.2

To me, they each features something that make them outstanding. make a guess and see if you agree ..... :)

  8. lek, how about buying those Samurais from HK instead of online? Will like to try them on first before buying. Is it more expensive that way?

When I went to Take5 (XX-003) and Lane Crawford, they are more expensive, so, I didn't buy my XX-003 there. But HK has a common language/dialect advantage compare to Japan, so ...... :)

  9. dat's wat mi tot so oso... but since it's my 1st few tyms posting, have to b 'politically correct' u c... :P hahahha... neway, dey provided their hp no and email somemore... so mi did sms dem and asked dem straight about the authencity of their clothes but no reply... but mi held on to the hope dat they r legit... hehee... oh well, thank God fer superfuture!!! :) saved mi the trouble of sifting thru their stuff... :D

dudes, pardon me for this, but superfuture is used by earthlings all round the world, please spell properly.

  10. No, i haven't tried straight from samurai.com. I bought mine from rakuten.

Dude, a lot of work has gone into making the Samurai (Sorahiko, XX-003, Sugarcanes, Skulls ....). IMO, you won't go wrong saving your quids and invest in a pair. Seriously, there's not much good stuff in Sg worth paying for. Good things don't come cheap, especially when you realised the amount of love, sweat and attitude that went into delivering a pair into your hands ...... Hype shits don't count.

  11. If you want to buy jeans, Ueno's the place to go. But I don't think Skull, PBJ and 45rpm have stores there (I could be wrong).

I was there for only 4 hours, and I didn't target the jeans, but Ameyoko (Ueno) has a lot of jeans and leather shops.

Hinoya (http://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/hinoya/hinoya.html) has 3 stores there, Beaver is next to Hinoya main store.

Americaya (http://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/americaya/) sells SDA, Samurai, TFH, Evisu, Denime etc.

There is a section selling fish and other raw stuff. Albuquerque is inside a building on the ground floor. I found it purely by chance, so pardon me for my vague description. (http://www.goodleather.co.jp/index.html)

While in Tokyo, please check out my new favourite label - UNIQLO !!!! Cheap, and good quality. The products are MIC, but from what I observed, all the MIC products I saw (Uniqlo and others) in Tokyo made those found elsewhere in Asia pale by comparison .....

  12. The lady at Take5 showed me an article from a magazine about a RM (short wallet) in natural leather used for 10 years (or so she said). The aging and colour, my bros, are fucking beautiful!

Yeah, RM goes huge, aren't they? :)

xviralx, Ueno is a place in Tokyo.

  13. At the moment, I will avoid LV, Gucci, Prada and the likes. :) (Not that they are bad, don't get me wrong)

Saw Red Moon at Take5 in Honk Kong, they're pretty tasty! For all round daily use (office and off-work), I prefer Wild Swans, but my Wings are probably the cheapest ..... :(
