  1. A) Did Warehouse sell J. Crew a defective batch of jeans?

likely the scenario. Trick J.Crew into paying full wholesale price, maybe even retail, for factory rejects that would normally go to TJ Maxx heavily discounted

  2. FS: 1960's Lee 101 J Size 38 $40 plus shipping (reasonable cleaning out the closet price)

PM me if you want it.

    Armpit to armpit: 20"

    Shoulder: 18"

Length (from top of the collar):23"

Sleeve length (from shoulder to end of cuff):23"

  3. When I was at the Levi's archives in the Spring I brought up the pocket bag stampings on the 30's - 50's jeans and they were completely unaware of them so we pulled a couple pairs of 40's jeans and low and behold there they were. They had no idea what the number could represent and speculated it could be the bag factory (the pocket bags were sourced) and the bag size. On all of my 30's, 40's, 50's vintage Levi's they are on there on the backside of the bag, either in black or red ink and with an "x" between the two sets of numbers for example "155x24". Up until seeing Paul's jeans I have not seen them on Levi's past the early 60's. Curious if they switched to a water soluble ink.

  6. Both the 484 and 700j are washed in the same fashion as all of the Warehouse one wash denim.

Also J.Crew does not discount any of their 3rd party brands.

  7. for "good karma"...

first...i too do not agree with the new return policy. i do not think it's inline with the customer first morals that they used to hold in such high regard. Blame it on a turn in the economy and a little on the change of guard..

the John Fahey as well as all the 60's psych, folk and "classic rock" is off a mix that i made during my time with the company and has nothing to with Americana...(if i remember correctly more than half of the artists are British) it was more about passing the time while listening to my favorite songs.

The cd's chosen by the ceo and head designer for play in the store would have made your head spin....be grateful for the good tunes...
