  3. it seems that even sanforized jeans do this to some extent. i have a pair of late 70's orange tab 505 that have a bit of leg twist. the tag inside says shrinkage of 3%, wich i assume means sanforized, and explains why they arent twisted 90 degrees like unsanforized jeans.

  4. DAMN......

i remember being in d.c....... i think it was either 95 or 96... skating at a zoo/capital demo in the parking lot behind some skateshop, and meeting harold and all the zoo cats... ryan hickey, serge trudnowski, jeff pang... oyola and reason were'nt there.... damn... but harold was the loudest motherfucker out there, repping KIDS hard. im still looking for the RRL belt he was wearing... but dude was just cool, ya know. made a big impression on me as a kid. harold was a hero to me, and to lots of outher people coming up on the east coast at the time. ZOO was big man... not like now... doing things right. and supreme?? harold was down from day one. if it wasnt for zoo i dont think theyd be where they are now. and harold was a huge part of the zoo image.

R.I.P. Harold... the man was a fucking legend and his influence will be felt for years to come.

  5. i perfer a traditional fit... but wear both. i find that the trad fit(levis 501, 505, etc...) is more comfortable for everyday wear, as they were designed to be workwear. modern cuts can be more flattering if you have a certian body type, but i dont think it works for everybody. i also know that in 20 years my levis will still look good and be in style. i think its that timelesness that puts it over the top fo me. if people are wearing A.P.C. cure repos in 2065 the way we lust over '47 levis, then i may change my mind.

  6. ok... first, in my experience, nike actually makes a superior skate shoe. ive tried alot of skate shoes in the past 12 years and nike comes out on top. i didnt want them too, i was looking to hate them even more once i saw they were getting into the skate market, but they put together a solid team and put out some great(but mad ugly) skate shoes. yes, thier labor practices are shit, but what skate shoes are made in a first world country with high labor standards?

now brands id like to see burn in hell....

A&F- they make it too easy for everyone to look like a douchebag

g-unit- making money by glorifying violence? fuck that.

    kenneth cole- see A&F above

gap/oldnavy- they want us to all look the same.

puma- shits just ugly... except for clydes which were played out in 94

zoo york- shit since ecko took over... and what they did to clyde is unacceptable

dupont- polyester is the worst thing to happen to clothing since adam and eve came out of ethiopia all those years ago.

hilfiger- i guess its just a grudge ive been holding since the 90s... always thought thier shit was garbage. too much red whit and blue.

    volcom- shit

element- turned into a garbage mall brand... anyone remember when it was underworld element? andy stone and pepe martenez, that was the shit.

osiris- ugliest skate shoes ever. period.
