  1. haha.. well, you definitely got ripped off. you can find "vintage" members only jackets easily on ebay for under 20 bucks. the whole concept of vintage clothing is kind of weird to me, because they basically just have buyers that go to thrift stores in the boondocks, bring them back to cities, and mark them up ridiculously... but to each his own. some people like the worn in feeling, or original production of certain items, rather than a lower quality repro done a decade or two later

Eeeeewwww @ patent leather, but the light colored check slip ons all the way to the right are okay.

Nothing beats the early 80's where you could custom design your own vans. You'd get a paper Vans catalog in the mail and could pick different patterned rubber, suede and canvas areas for the entire shoe.

you can do exactly that on their website.
  3. In LA I used to go to Epic Salon in Encino, even though I'm a city girl. It was around 80 for a haircut and theyre all award winning stylists and colorists, plus you don't have to deal with chi-chi beverly hills attitude. They do an amazing job and I've had a hard time getting my haircut anywhere else.. I always end up waiting til i'm back in LA to restyle.

edit- i'm positive mens haircuts are significantly less expensive.

I was going to do my own silk screening, but I just did a run of 40 shirts and realized it would be a lot easier to just kick back and give all the work to someone else.

are you kidding me? do you think most designers are sitting in their studios alone sewing all their clothes and silk-screening everything themselves?
