ughhhhhhhhhhh i sit next to this girl in one of my lectures who has been coughing her guts out the past two/three weeks. i was like yeah she'll be good by next week. NOPE. bitch, stop eating m&m's, go get yourself some oj and chicken noodle soup. i'm not trying to get all fucked up from your germs right now.

i had a pretty rough week, probably was the most intense week of school so far. two super long homework assignments, a quiz, an exam, and a composition. had an gnarly anxiety attack on wednesday night before going to a study group (study buddy and i just said fuck it and ended up drinking beers instead). thursday i manage to put my key upside down in my apartment door and she-hulk snapped the mother fucker in half. ended up staying at my study buddy's place for the night. slowly getting used to university life.

yeah...it is.

i always get super excited for my study dates. i have to do a ton of work for one of my classes and i study with this guy who is really cool (and cute, and has really hot housemates) and we hang out a ton even outside of study time. i don't know if he likes me or not. i don't think i care if he did or didn't because i can't afford to forfeit such a good homework partner lol.

i had a really gnarly anxiety attack right before i was supposed to go to a study group so i met up with my main study buddy and to save our sanity we ended up not going, drank beers and watched tv. i feel so much fucking better.

i went downstairs out of my building for a cigarette. i'd met some people in my building because they were smoking out the fire escape so they were telling me to come up and hang out. ended up having two glasses of wine and a gin and tonic and they are the most chill people ever. totally random but super cool.

it's actually not that bad at all. i support your music devlin.

i've always been in favor of having a minimum. it's not how much you end up spending really, but the overall value of the package. for example, if you make something that doesn't cost much but is cool as fuck.

homework halp! so i need a language consultant for my phonetics and phonology 'field project' for the semester.

Here are some characteristics of the ideal language consultant. He or she:

• is a native speaker of a language that you don’t know. (By “native speaker” we mean someone who learned the language as a child and still actively uses the language in everyday life.)

• is willing to work with you at least 1-2 hours per week throughout the semester.

• is willing to let you record his or her speech.

• is interested in, and maybe even proud of, his or her language and will want you to get it right.

• is patient and willing to repeat the same word over and over while you try to learn to pronounce it.
