  1. Why do you even care?

If you don't plan on buying them, why even start the topic?

To make yourself seem like someone knowledgeable in denim because you read Know5tyle on NT opinions on APC?

  2. Quote: I miss the orange box SB days

Yeah, cause that was what, 2 years ago? icon_smile_dissapprove.gif

I'm so sick of the complaining when it comes to stuff like this. No one is making you buy every product that is released.

Do you know how many other dope AT1's there are?

    Buy one of them.

Or maybe instead you could go for a walk and worry about something less trivial than what SB's are doing to the "sneaker game."

    Deal with it.

  3. Quote: Who said he wears them because he likes the reaction? Perhaps he wears them because he likes them. The reaction just sweetens the deal. Are you just mad that girls don't like filthy, 6month old never washed APCs?

Anyway, I would never wear Seven. That shit is for fags.

Well if girls don't like dirty APC's, and Seven jeans are for "fags" (derogatory term for homosexual), what jeans can I wear that will attract the ladies?

I'm leaning towards acid washed cut-offs...

  4. Jo3 B, those Levi's that belong to Serge aren't the $30 STF type. I made the same mistake myself.

Quote: For those of you that wear them right out the box do you still buy them larger than your size or do you buy them in a fitting size?

I'm assuming that if you were to not wash or dry clean only you would buy your regular size but if you were to pre-soak or eventually wash at some point in the future then you would buy them larger to allow for shinkage?

I bought a size bigger in my waist, and soaked them for 20 minutes before I wore mine. They have since stretched out an additional inch in the waist. I'm assuming they will shrink down again after a real wash/dry, because I'm sure the 20 minute soak didn't account for all shrinkage.

If you plan on never washing the STF's, I would buy your true size, perhaps even a size smaller in the waist to account for stretching.

If you do plan on washing the STF, buy your true size or a size bigger in the waist.

  5. To an extent I agree, but I think the point being made was that selvedge denim does not necesarily translate to a higher quality denim when compared to that produced on a regular loom.

Case and point, the countless number of companies producing selvedge denim nowadays versus companies still making great jeans on regular looms (JCrew selvedge vs. Nudie RR greycast for example).

Or maybe I'm wrong, and the denim is better on the shuttle looms, and other factors like cut, wash, etc. make the non-selvedge jeans better.

    Or maybe I'm drunk

  6. Quote: I'd rather wear my Gap 1969.

    That's what I'm saying.

Quote: I get so many comments on my ass when I wear them.

The fact that you like them because of the reaction you get from other people is one of the reasons I dislike them (along with similar clothing lines).

I wear clothes for myself, not to get recognition from other people.
