  1. I put my APC vs. Nudies on there for an extra-unwashed cooked denim look!

If you leave them on too long they'll get really dry, but dry denim rules, doesn't it!

The George Foreman Grill, what an invention.

Can I ask you something? These sunglasses: they're really nice. Are they like government issue, or do you guys all go to the same store together?

I don't know why, but that happens when you click on the

link and "http://supertalk.com...." shows up in front of the actual url.

Simply copy and paste the url into a new window or tab. That'll work.

  3. BRAVO! JAY!

Trying to make a science project out of printing a tee shirt is not the way to go unless your aspiring to become a screen printer. As a designer, leave the screening to the printers, check and re-check for quality. Require a strike-off before they print the whole run. Be there, in the factory, as the first strike-off comes thru the dryer.

Make adjustments right then and there. Learn and see how the process works to make sure you get a better product, just don't do it yourself.

  5. You do NOT need to trace in Illustrator.

Since it is a one color job, print it out onto

Vellum at actual size and bring to a screen printer

and tell them to print using a 257 mesh count screen.

If you need a printer, shoot me an e-mail and I'll help you out.

  6. Can someone here explain why this hoodie is $250?

Does it have a cappuccino maker sewn into it?

Does it give the wearer the power of flight?

    Is it bullet-proof?

Can it keep me toasty on the top of Mount Everest?

Or is it the exclusivity attached to the brand?

    Better quality construction and fabrics?

I was sarcastic in the beginning,

but I would really like to learn something here.

  8. Let's clarify some things.

    "Yay or Nay."

The way this question is posed, I would answer Nay, myself. That, of course, is on the grounds of not knowing any of the individuals involved or the nuances of the situation.

"I am doing the PR/Marketing work for a small t-shirt line coming out in Spring 2006. I have madee many contacts to help in promotions and have bartered most of the marketing for our website. I also have gotten us a write up in a famous Lad mag to help too."

As of yet, we have an e-mail from a Lad mag, NOT a write-up.

"I feel I have done so far good work to help develop this line from grass roots."

Agreed, although no actual promotions have been developed and seen in public.

"The designer is STILL negotiating with the person who funded the project on percentage split."

This is true, however the contract is being done pro-bono, and as we all know favors take time.

"So far I do not have a contract and I only moved forward because the designer is my friend."

FC has never presented a contract to sign for his services, so his statement can be misleading.

I am a man of my word and as a friend, FC should trust that he would have been appropriately compensated for any agreed upon work and terms.

"The promise of a contract has been prolonged by 3 months."

As I said, the contract FC is mentioning is not between FC and us. It is between the designer and the manufacturer. FC has never presented terms or a contract for his services as was requested of him.

"What do you think is fair in this process, for me the PR/Marketing person ?"

With the above mentioned points in mind, and the fact that I am true to my word, as you know, it would be fair for you to present your terms and I would sign them and be responsible for those terms personally.

  11. ok, ok let me come clean...

The info I requested is for a friend of mine and his wife who live an breathe on Long Island.

They seldom travel into the city and "starfucking" is what they'd like to do on their 5 year anniversary trip in L.A.

I work on Broadway in NYC and see celebs and it doesn't much phase me anymore.

Although the guy walking with the feather in his hat and squawking like a bird always gets me!

I was in Toy Tokyo and saw Everlast (is he still a celeb?), Jump Around popped into my head and that was the end of it. My name is dagsolo and I am not a celeb-hunter,

although I'd take a shot at Jenny McCarthy if I had the chance.

    Thanks for all the info.

How much could they expect to be paid? Percentage? How much?

How much does experience in the field play as far as compensation?

  14. Paul Mole (pronounced moe-lay) on 75th & Lexington.

    Very experienced, upper class clientele.

    about $25 per cut.

If your on Long Island go to

    Vito's Hair Salon

    55 Glen Head Road

(located 1 block from the Glen Head station on the LIRR)

Ask for Roberto, he used to work at Paul Mole and opened his own shop.

He does great cuts and his straight razor hot towel shave is the best by far.

  17. Nice designs so far.

It's hard to give more extensive feedback because there's only 4 styles.

I'd like to see them blown up (enlarged) a bit more on the site.

The shirt you're using on the site looks like a tapered girls tee.

I'd like to know the sizing of the tee, as well.

Is it 100% cotton? Lightweight, heavyweight?

    Hope this helps.

  19. Midtown comics is crowded, and it's hard to find what you're looking for.

(Although they'll probably have what you want.)

    I prefer Jim Hanley's Universe on 33 between 5th & 6th.

The comics are all in alphabetical order and there's a magazine section.

They sell tees and toys and statues and the staff is cool.

    Try Forbidden Planet, too.
